Essential Reading list...

Ok, so we've all heard from various sources different books that we should read to become sucessful, better people and better entrepreneurs.

I've just finished the following three books (by recommendation):
Think and grow rich
The 1 Minute entrepreneur
The Richest Man In Babylon

To be perfectly honest, I don't have time to read, instead I buy the full audio version of the book and listen to it in the car as I drive to my clients' offices.

From your experience, what books would you suggest should be read next and why?

Have a great day!

There are three books that after reading them made me start my own business...

How to Win Friends and Influence People

    Rich Dad Poor Dad

    Think and Grow Rich

I read the first one because I was in sales. I read the second one because I wanted to start making more money. And when I read the third one I was already starting to become an entrepreneur.

I guess I was always an entrepreneur at heart, but I did not realize my entrepreneurial spirit until I was 22.

Dan Kennedy - Ultimate Sales Letter , No B.S Approach to Time Management for entrepreneurs
Tim Ferriss - 4 Hour Work Week
    Cialdini - Influence & Yes

    That's just a start. I've got a big list...

The four hour work week generated more than sixty thousand extra profit a year with just one tweak of my work, and reduced my hours considerably- and I only read the first four chapters...

I then lent it to someone...no idea who

It depends on what amount of general inspiration
you want in proportion to specific information that
    can make you money.

Napoleon Hill is great for general motivation. BTW -
do you know Charles Schwab, made a demi-god by
Hill, pissed away 35 million dollars on high living
and died a pauper in the great depression? His
grand salesmanship in youth did not make him a
    wise long-term visionary. The bigger-they-come,
    as they say.

Joe Sugarman's books are eminently practical for
direct marketers. Start with "Advertising Secrets
    of The Written Word".

      Hi Shannon,

Yes I've read 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' and 'Rich Dad Poor Dad'. They were truly inspiring.
I have a copy of 'Think and Grow Rich' but haven't read it yet, last night I bought the audio version.

      Hi Noah, Rachel, Scott

I've read Caldini's Influence but didn't give Dan's 'Ultimate Sales Letter' a try, I must do that.
Today I bought the audio of the '4-Hour work week' and it's something like 8 hours long, so it will take about 8 days to get through it. Thanks!

      Hi malibumentor (it's Loren, right?)

The only work from Joe I've read is 'triggers'. Thanks for the heads-up on "Advertising Secrets
of The Written Word", I'll get it as soon as I get through the '4-Hour work week' and 'Think and Grow Rich'.

I'm really happy with your replies, all excellent!

      Many thanks you guys
