Hey Warriors

Just had a quick question. For those that launch products, or will launch products are you bold enough to have someone use your product and log their success by video using your product BEFORE the launch?

I think it'd be a great way to promote your product if you could show first hand how someone else has used your product (possibly a newbie) and really used it to succeed. Do you think you could do this for a product before it launches to show others just how powerful it is?

Of course you could do this and it would more then likely work, but do you really want to give a product which isn't even released yet away? You could of course get somebody you know, such as a family member, brother/sister/cousin to do this for you, at least you know your in safe-hands then.

Yes, you'd definetly have to be careful as to WHO you'd get to do this for you, thanks for pointing that out.

Plenty of super affiliates (and others) do this already, except instead of showing the success they've had with the product, they just show you around a bit plus give you their thoughts about it.

It's difficult to show your success with a product in these videos because certain methods/strategies/models can take weeks or even months to fully implement. But of course, if when it is possible to show the results you've gotten from the product (or from following the strategies that the product talks about), it wouldn't hurt to show them.

Another problem with this idea is that for many things it takes time to achieve results good enough to use as a selling point. Depending on what the product was about, it could delay launching your product for months.

Edit: I see Curtis beat me to the punch on this, but it just goes to show you how true it is.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Robert Allen did a similar thing and is famous for it. He made an average person successful in Real Estate and got all kinds of positive PR from it.

    Here's another consideration...

Could you make reasonably convincing videos without giving away the store?

I'm thinking that for many products, showing someone succeeding would either show so much that the product is no longer necessary, or start creeping into the easily-faked realm of screen shots showing traffic, income, etc. Now this might not be the case for a software product, but for software combining demo videos with a free trial would likely be just as effective.

interesting way to look at things.

Suppose you could do this, but then again a lot of products now have video screen shots, proof etc etc... it may not be necessary.

Also, you'd never really know whether the real life example was fake or not,
it would be very easy to just fake this.

Not saying people should or would attempt to fake it, but hopefully you understand where I'm coming from
