How Many Visitors Do You Need To Make Money From Adsense?

I've never really tried to use adsense before , mostly affiliate products.

For those out there that use adsesne, how much do you make/month on 1 website (on average) and how many visitors do you get/month to achieve such earnings.

Would prefer to know your "average" site earnings rather than your best to keep it realistic.

Is it an avenue to go down or more a last resort?

I have a site I never use getting 1k visitors/ month in the male health market and I have been thinking of the best ways I could monetise it.

May just sell it not sure. Thoughts?

It depends on avg cpc and ctr.

Lets say you have avg cpc of $0.10 and ctr of 3%. 1000 hits would make you $3.

if you had ctr of 5% and cpc of $0.50, 1000 hits would make you $25.

is there anyway to increase the cpc or would this be determined by the number of advertisers in the market generally?

Would it be worth looking at having a cpa offer in the sidebar, or maybe an opt in to take them to a cpa offer?

    Thanks

CPC is determined by how much advertisers are spending on that keyword. Google will take keywords based on the content of your page.

You can optimise for easy search terms and then use lateral keywords that have a higher CPC to make more money.

It takes minutes to put Adsense on it. I would do that and test. If it brings in some good revenue you just increased the price you can get if you still wish to sell it.

No one can really tell you what will work best. You have to test it.

If Adsense doesn't work, then try CPA offers, Clickbank, or even selling your own space.

This will probably sound sarcastic, but the answer is "One".

Unless you have a specific daily dollar amount in mind... then the question has no correct answer. An "average" is only going to be the average for the person giving you the answer.

So any answer would have to be heavily qualified. But if you are getting 1,000 visits per day, then putting an Adsense block on your main page sure couldn't hurt. You'll get clicks. If your site is an Auto Insurance site, then those clicks will earn you some good money. If it's an Origami site... probably not so much.
