How can I promote my business

Hello,

I want to say that I run a small computer service, I do all that can be done even fixing some motherboards and psu's.
The problem is that no enough people know me, how can I promote my business and get people to know me and the services that I offer.
I know that the market is saturated with this but I must try at least before closing my doors

Thank you

I've noticed some that build their site with their services. You can also join social networking sites to spread the word (or have someone do it for you).

I would use forums, social media and Google adwords.

    Use Geographically targeted PPC ads,
Open up a Facebook page.. I'd even toss up a discount offer for anyone that joins your fanpage.. (10% or a free mouse pad with service.. something small).

Have a web-page listing your services and contact information & link any & all social media to that page, and from that page to the media.

Geo targeted PPC ads is a great and fast way to get local clients. You can bid on all types of computer problems that you are capable of fixing.

Pardon me for being cynical but, i find what your question is about and the link in your sig to be a bit contradictory - if you take into account it's a first post.

    Sorry if i'm wrong..

Well, you must be able to drive traffic to your site to increase your exposure to more people. You may want to consider social media sites and start making good lists of friends and members. Welcome to Facebook and Twitter.
If you some spare time, in order to drive traffic to your website, you may want to consider article marketing as well.

What about approaching businesses that could open many doors. I'm thinking of web designers, business printers and IT solution companies. Explain your business and offer some sort of fee or commission for all work they refer.

I was going to say write articles on a related topic and submit them to directories - but you seem to already know that one looking at your signature link

I think social networking sites will pay off, you can also try google adwords, try a couple of things and see the one that works best for you

PPC...keyword..."Computer Repair + 'Name of City' " or something like that. Make the ad link to your website (of course) and make sure that absolutely all of your services are on your website.

I started back in 1987 with computer's business and now still in the same business. All I can say is word of mouth is the best when you first started your business. If you provide good and quality service, many people will promote for you.

They will recommend more people who are in need of your service. As long as you can provide good quality service, your business will be spread with word of mouth. I am still in this business except I expand to web hosting and internet.

If you know of any local companies doing mailers to businesses or to homes who have a complimentary product or service to what you're offering, you could go the direct mail approach and offer that list holder a commission like an affiliate. Set up a landing page to send them to so you can track the effectiveness of it (ie. page hits, leads, conversions, etc.). You could also just grab a second 800 number through one of the many online PBX services and set up your phone line to ring a special ring when some one calls that number. Track it on a spreadsheet.

Call your top 50 best clients & prospects and ask them targeted Questions, to identify their problems, ask for referals.
Identify the benefits for your customer.

In addition, meet your best customers, on a 1 to 1 basis.
