Clickbank for $17 products... YES/NO

Hello warriors,

I am going to release a cheap script aimed for the IM niche (a split tester with a twist).

I am considering whether to use Clickbank or to stick to my faithful paypal account for this $17 product.
  • Clickbank pros: I may be able to attract many affiliates on the IM niche.
  • Clickbank cons: higher refund rates and having many people buying the script under their own clickbank affiliate ID (which will half my profits)
So, I have two questions:

1) Do clickbank affiliates promote $17 products at all? I don't know first-hand as I've never released a sub-$47 product.
2) Would the higher gravity (from people buying off their own affiliate link) increase exposure, traffics and eventually sales to overcome the loss in revenue from those people buying off their own affiliate link?

TIA!

CB affs promote $17 products if there is a back end or recurring income

You will get a wider exposure going through clickbank. If you have a good conversion rate the grav score will go up and it will snowball.

Clickbank is the way to go.

    Hi guys

i have all my internet marketing products on clickbank and swear by them it is so much better and if you already have an account and if you are not that bothered about affiliates you can always have them as product number 2 on your account.

On one of my accounts i have 67 products so you can have as much as you like.

    kind regards

As an affiliate I don't think I'd promote it from Clickbank unless it had a good chance of a backend sale. If it was a 100% commissions at $17 then I'd definatley be prepared to do it (ie. on a RAP or $7 Secrets Script).

If it was 50% commissions and into my PayPal account ... I'd consider it.

I'd think about promoting it if it were a brilliant product with a highly converting sales page and the commission was at least 50%. Sometimes it's easier to promote small ticket products that sell in high volumes than larger ticket items.
