Come on - you don't really think I'd post that seriously do you?

I keep getting emails lately from people thinking that telling me "something the gurus won't" is going to appeal to my guru-hating nature.

I know that some people here really do think there are Gurus and then the rest of us, but are there really so many haters that email headlines like that actually work?

Some of my friends are so-called Gurus and I'm pretty sure they'd tell you almost anything you asked them about.

When see such headlines it just gives me a negative impression of the person using it.

And let's not even talk about 'secrets'...

We're all Gurus - we all have something that we can teach other people. This Guru bashing attitude just comes across as a really lame marketing tactic designed to prey on the fears of beginners who are aspiring to be Gurus and thinking they're not being told everything.

Here's a reality check - You're NOT having things hidden from you. You can create your future with or without any gurus telling you what to do. So even if they were keeping stuff from you - that doesn't mean you can't be successful.

Your future is up to you not anyone else. It's easy to hope other people will make it happen for you or that someone else will tell you what you should do - but anything anyone else does for you should be a bonus rather than your plan.

And not being given something by other people is not an excuse for your failures.

Please tell me that "Guru Secrets" are not holding you back.
