What's more important - having fun or making money?

Both. But in an either situation -making money. Don't overdo it though that you get stressed out. Money should bring in some fun

Why do you have to choose? I find it fun to make money.

I happily work long hours because I enjoy what I'm doing and on a number of occasions I've started new businesses that have sprung from my interests. Opportunities simply presented themselves and I followed my natural enthusiasm for the subject.

If you are properly focused on the things that you want, you'll start to see ideas and opportunities that will point you in a direction which helps you to satisfy both a desire to have fun and to make money while doing so.

I don't see that you have to choose but a wise man (Joseph Campbell) once said: "follow your bliss".

Both have their limits, only when you can do both is it ever going to be truly fulfilling.

You can have as much fun as you want, but you are limited to how much fun by how much money you have, unless you are easily amused. Also, sooner or later, not being able pay for a lot of things you'd want or especially need just drains the fun out of anything since you're always worrying about money.

On the other hand, you could be making a lot of money, but you could be stuck at the most back-breaking job, or you could be working online for hours on end everyday just to sustain that kind of income on the internet, but what's the use if you never get to have the freedom to spend and have fun with the money?

So, conclusion is both are equally important, but 100% potential of importantness (running low on vocabs lol) cannot be achieved until both are achieved.

IMO both are important. But If I had to chose 1, I would choose making money.

If you can't do both you're either doing it wrong

Putting food on the table for your family should always come before having fun.

The best option is to do something that you enjoy doing and ensures you live comfortably

without balance you are going to burnout for sure. if you dont reward yourself every now and then you will eventually ask yourself "why am i doing all of this"

you can't have fun without income, but income wont last unless you have some fun

Everything in life is what you make it. I think you can make the process of making money fun and that's a win-win situation to me :-)

Once you get your business to a point that the money you make is enough to pay your bills etc. etc. then you can start having fun. I remember working really hard in the beginning every second I had free I would work on my business at times all night long.

Would I change that no I did it because if you really want something no matter what it takes you will go for it and thats what I did. I didnt have a mentor and that was a big mistake so I just have to find out things on my own. But it should be a balance and they both can be fun.

I think both are equally important. But if you have tons of bills to pay and you are not making much money, I do not think that any person in this situation would be having fun in the activity that they are doing.

For me personally, I would get the cash flow coming in first and then focus on the fun activity to do which will brings in more cash flow

I'd say making money first then fun comes in after. You're having fun will last only until you run out of resources.

I think both too. If you're having fun making money then it's the best possible combination. The fun thing about internet marketing is not 'knowing' how much you are going to make each month. I think if your earnings were set in stone it would remove a lot of the fun from the equation. Uncapped earnings is always fun, no matter what you earn. It's the possibilities that make IM interesting.

Well to me making money is FUN! Then you can use your money to have more fun.

However some people just waste all their money having fun, then when they're older...they are poor and never have any fun.

Having fun is way more important. The ONLY thing that makes money important is facilitating the fun.

The reason why so many people are into internet marketing is because they all want to have fun while making money. Read up on 4 Hour Work Week or search through Youtube and look for 4hww videos to see what people are doing with their lif. How they are having fun while making money.

You need to have both because life is short, don't put everything to the end

I read a business book once wrote by Richard Branson where he continuously quotes "Have fun and the money will come"

But I'm sure there's a limit to the fun right?

My primary motive is to learn more than have fun or make money.

If I had to choose one over the other, I'd choose having fun any day. If you're having fun, who cares if you're not making money? If not making money bothers you so much, then you won't be having fun. Therefore, having fun automatically excludes not making enough money to keep you happy. Ipso facto, having fun is far more important.

That was a piece of pseudo-logic, from someone with a PhD in mathematical logic (honest), and enough years since graduation to forget most of the dull stuff!

Making money IS fun.

By the way, there is no right or wrong answer, there is only what is right for you at this particular time of your life. I just hope when you younger folks are older you don't find that you spent all your time having fun and you have nothing to live on when you're elderly. I've seen plenty of people forced to work until they die because they couldn't afford to retire. It's sad.

For me making money with little bit of fun works best.

Creating value for others is what is most important in internet marketing. From there that is where you will be rewarded.

Making money is the easy part, having fun is the hard part. This is called ADD - Adventure Deficit Disorder.

I guess it depends on whether or not you are broke at the time you have to make the choice.

Nobody wants to be a millionaire. Being a millionaire sucks... Having to deal with all the taxes, legal issues that are sure to arise and always wondering if your friends are your friends because of your money or not.

People want the life experiences and freedom of a millionaire. They want to be able to travel, or get that cool new car, or not have to worry about income. And that is significantly faster and easier than becoming a millionaire.

So there's no reason why you can't be happy and be wealthy. However if I had to choose... ultimately money gives you the tool to achieve your ultimate objective... fun.

So Fun is more important.

This reminds me of the Quote "I work to live not live to work" .... you need to find your own balance and to each of us we assign a different level of importance.

IMO Being happy is the most important thing.

But although money doesn't buy happiness, it sure helps
a lot.

I have fun when I make money

Having fun but I say that from a comfortable position now. There have been times when the lack of money was so worrying and stressful that I would have chosen money then fun.
