What would cause something like this

Hey guys, so I had a website a while ago (a month and a half ago), and the last time I checked traffic and such, it was last month. In march I had around 600 visitors, but now, I have almost 3X that amount in april alone. However I do not see conversions lol. What would cause this huge boost of traffic!

Is your niche targeted towards something that is happening now or is getting closer to premiering?

For instance, you could have a site on an upcoming movie that is soon to be released; that would have caused the increase in traffic.

Have your results in SERPS improved?

It could be a number of things honestly, we'd really need to know the niche, as well as more in depth details of traffic origin before and after to give more information.

Check google keywords tool for monthly traffic trends? Maybe it correlates? Or maybe somebody found your site and posted a link somewhere which drew a crowd? A jump to a higher position in the SERPS?

Traffic does not always equal conversions.. it has to be relevant traffic and the people have to be in some way open to buying or committing to your goal.

Make sure you have at least Google Analytics setup on your website so you can see where the extra traffic is coming from. If it is significant, perhaps you can do something that would convert those visitors in some way...
