Ezine article to a squidoo lens.. the lens being your affiliate page.. I'm not saying article marketing doesn't work as I have made a few sales.. but I just think its "hit or miss"... after all IM is a business so I would rather do it right the first time rather than spend all this time pumping out articlcles. Even if I outsource my article writing it no gaurantee that Im going to make sales. Your thoughts? I'm just thinking of what is the right plan for me..

I think you'd have better odds if you just bought a domain and forwarded it to an affiliate offer instead of sending traffic to a squidoo lens.

Better yet, develop your own website, and promote products on it. You are already writing for ezinearticles anyway, why not write a little more for your website content, link from your ezine article to your website, put your affiliate links on strategic spots on your website's pages.

From what I have been hearing squidoo is not a fan of affiliate sites. You could end up losing all your hard work at any time.

Get your own domain name. Its better to have complete control on your content. And its an investment in internet real estate. I recommend a .com .net .org ..

... if you really have to you could pick up a .info for under $1 but i wouldn't recommend it. But even that is better than squidoo.

Then again you could go the free route and use HubPages.. Its a little bit more affiliate friendly.
