writing & selling PLR content - Is It Profitable? How To?

Is there any money to be made in writing and selling PLR articles? How would you suggest doing it?

There are a few subjects where I am quite knowledgabel and I think I could throw up a large number of articles quite quickly on these subjects. If I write ten 500 word articles in a day, how much could I make selling them as PLR? And HOW do I sell it, do I do it myself or should I connect with some larger PLR seller?

    Hello,

If you do a search around you can find PLR packs all over that don't sell for THAT much money... which tells you one thing: the people writing these articles most-likely aren't being paid that much.

MOST-LIKELY someone is outsourcing cheap articles from people in third world countries, setting up a "PLR Pack", and then selling them in packages for a relatively low price.

So in my humble opinion, I don't think it's going to be easy for you to make a lot of money writing PLR articles. But I do have some thoughts for you to think about...

My question to you is, if you're willing to do as much work as it would take to write ten 500 word articles per day, why don't you write articles and have them benefit your own web resources?

My recommendation to make the most out of your writing online (this is the best, trust me):

    - find the niche you want to work in
    - create a free report that will HELP people in that niche (sounds like you'r very comfortable with writing)
    - create a squeeze page that gets their name and email address to download your free report
    - use article marketing to drive traffic to your "squeeze page"
    - participate in EFFECTIVE email marketing

Now that you have their email address, you can't just send them ANYTHING. You have to treat your list right, and they will make you lots of money. Trust me, I make more money with my email promotions with what some people would consider a "tiny" list than what some people with a HUGE list into the thousands.

The report you can get for free from the link in my signature explains the whole process I described above, but very detailed. You can make tons of money with a relatively small list, using the same exact skills you're already using writing PLR articles.

And it sounds like you don't have a problem writing articles, or writing for the web period. And to tell you the truth, the people who won't get themselves to write are the only one's who have problems with the "technique" I describe in my report.

So anyway, excuse the self-promotion, but my reports free anyway... and it'll definitely be a better option than the PLR route you're asking about.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I figured that most PLR packages seem to be extremly cheap, but I thought that maybe they really sell a lot of them because of that.

I already work as a part time writer for a magazine, but if I write about a subject I already know very well I don't need to spend any time doing research, which dramatically reduces the time required. I just tried it out and I have already written a 500 word article since posting this subject, I think I could keep that up for a while, but I wouldn't want to do it fulltime, everyday...

I can think of one way that you can monetize that...
Open a WSO for 10 Article PLR. Restrict the number of copies to be sold. Say Just 100 copies - follow it strictly... Post 1 or 2 articles for open review for other members... Price it at around $10/pack...
IF your content is good and the number is restricted to just 100, you will have buyers...

    Just a thought..
