Making money playing video games. Does it really work?

Hi all,
I was browsing Clickbank the other day and stumbled upon a few services that offer you to play video games, criticize them and receive money for it.

Does anyone know if you can really make a decent amount of money doing that or is it similar to filling surveys - a lot of promises for making a lot of cash but in the end you'll get lucky if you make enough to fill up your gas tank?

    This is like a game tester position. It's an actual job that video game companies hire out. I did this through college with a lot of the MMO computer games. The products on clickbank are mostly about what you need to say, do, and how to present yourself so that you have the best chance to get these jobs.

    If you don't live near a video game company headquarters, you might have trouble getting these positions. They like you to be close to their home especially if you are new.

    I was making a decent amount of cash from playing video games. It would be tough to live off of, but if the company is large and has a lot of work to do, you could possibly make 400-600/week from it.

    Most of the games you play aren't finished product remember. You are there to let them know of the problems. So, it can be frustrating and sometimes the games are just plain awful...but you have to play them all the way through anyways.

    So there is a market out there for that sort of work but I doubt very much the clickbank ebooks would be of much use

    I had read an article a while back about how you can get paid for playing games such as WOW by getting your character up to a level whatever that is hard for most players to achieve then sell it in WOW forums/marketplaces.
