To spin or not?

I'd just like to know if I'm missing something. I spin my articles and I have no problem doing so. However many of the warriors on this forum will not do it and I just want to know why?

I will admit that I don't use auto spinners because they just produce unreadable rubbish. I use a semi-automatic ones. I highlight a word, use the thesaurus to pick another word with the same meaning and in the same context and let the spinner do the rest

When I read the article back it's always readable. With 30-60 minutes work I have over 100 unique articles that are readable for the directories.

I'm not looking for writing awards, I just want an informative article that's readable and will entice the reader to click my resource box and that's what I get.

Is there any good reason why I shouldn't do this that I've missed because if I'm going to get more traffic without using a spinner I'd like to know.

All of your thoughts on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

    Depends on why you are doing it. Are you putting a different version on your site? Are you using Unique Article Wizard or another submission service that requires more than one version?

    If you are spinning so you submit different versions to various article directories, many of us don't do it because it's not necessary.

    Before anyone starts repeating the "duplicate" hearsay - that doesn't apply to article syndication.

    If you want to spin articles, you can do it. To me it's a waste of time unless I have a concrete reason to do so. Submitting to various directories isn't a reason.

    Edit: If you are spinning one article 100 times - I have serious doubt as to the uniqueness. Moving the words around doesn't necessarily equal unique - only a bit different.

    I find if I spin the articles then I get more traffic from them. If I submit the same article 100 times I still get nice backlinks and search engine boost. If I submit 100 different ones then many of the articles rank on different longtails so I get a lot more traffic.
