Filezilla Frustrations??

Hey everyone!

Question here real quick on filezilla.

I started my first website recently and I've uploaded all my files for it through filezilla. Now I want to start a blog for my website, and I would like to use filezilla, however I'm not too familiar with filezilla. I'm afraid that I will go to upload the files for my new site and that they will replace the files I already have in place for my first site.

This is what I did though, I opened the filezilla Site Manager and then clicked on new site to keep all of my files separated. However, either I did the right thing the wrong way, or I did the wrong thing here (haha)...because I can't connect at all now. Not to this new site, or to my previous one...

Can anyone advise me on how to get connected through filezilla again? Is there a particular host and port that I need to put in?

Also, once I am connected can someone also please let me know how I am supposed to keep every file for each of my domain names/sites seperated?? I need to upload files for my new one.

Thanks ALOT!

Filezilla just accesses the FTP account and uploads files. You have to create the accounts in your Hosting control panel.

Are you trying to setup the blog on a different domain name? If so you will have to set this domain up, your hosting company will be able to talk you through it.

if you want blog on same site, you could login with main ftp account and create a sub folder and then upload all the files to that folder. So if you called the folder "blog" the path to your blog would be www.yourdomain.com/blog
