What is the absolute best way to prove your income?

I've often thought about this, we know screen shots can be easily faked, so what is the best way to actually prove you make what you claim to make?

You could post a video of yourself pulling out an ATM receipt with your balance, you could probably record yourself going to the bank and getting a receipt or having an employee verbally say how much you Have... but of course, anybody could have a lot of money that came from a totally different source.

Whats it take for You to believe?

Great answer, pretty much what I was looking for.

I love this idea! Nothing like sticking out and being out of the ordinary. People will take notice and it should help a lot with conversions. I have done a few things to be different like offer weekly Q&A calls with my students as a bonus instead of just email support. I take it a step further and people notice these types of things. Great advice Mike!

You can record yourself logging into your PayPal or ClickBank account and take a tour explaining from where are all payments

This is actually easy to fake if you are familiar with web coding.

You don't even need to do that, just paste in the following short piece of javascript into the adressbar of any website and you can edit anything freely (remove the space character first):

        javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; %20document.designMode='on';%20void%200

Naturally any changes you make are only changes to your particular view of the page, and will be lost if you reload or navigate to another page, but it still shows just how unreliable any kind of screenshot or even video can be.

Only works for static videos. I mean videos where you have already logged in.

You can re-direct paypal.com to somewhere on your local machine and video looks like you are loggin in to paypal. they see address in adress bar, see you typing in login details, then see all you fake money come up on screen.

Only reliable way is government audited and submitted accounts. But to this day I have never seen a marketer use these. Most marketers like to harp on about turnover like its profit.

I had a very successful business before and for every £500,000 turnover I would get £40,000 in my pocket as post tax profit if I was lucky.

Not necessarily... I mean I don't want to give people step by step instructions on how to fake these things, but it's essentially as simple as having two windows open, one where you have prepared a faked page, and one that is identical but not logged in. Then you switch windows at the right moment with a key combination. Any flickering in the video could easily be edited out if you have the most basic knowledge of video editing, it's probably only going to flicker in one or two frames anyway.

Don't try this at home kids, because then you'd be a swindler and a jerk. But remember, never trust something just because you see it on video.

(What you should do though, if you're a prankster, is to change all the headlines on some major news site, and show your friends all kinds of crazy, faked news. Just make sure to tell them that "no, we're NOT being invaded by China" before they have a heart attack... )

If you have a limited company in the UK, £1 submitted to companies house will give a copy of your audited accounts. Post this and give limited name for prospects to check themself.

Of course no one does this as the figures they quote are always grosse and not net.

Don't prove your income to anyone. It's none of their business. Why are you selling an information product if you're making real money?

That's not the point. I am asking theoretically, what IS the best way to prove income to others, not "should I prove my income to others while selling an info product?"

Hey, you could always make a video of yourself, walking up to your computer and logging in to your clickbank account rather than doing it as screen capture - it would be a lot harder to fake, but the video quality might not be good enough to read the screen. I've also seen a video of someone walking up to their mailbox and getting an envelope out, opening it and pulling out a check from Clickbank - it might even have been an early Frank Kern video (or I could be inventing that bit).
