Facebook marketing strategies

Does anyone have any Facebook marketing strategies? I don't really quite grasp how to make money from it...

If anyone wants to share some of his/her strategies I'm sure it will be a great benefit for many of us here on the forum.

What if I told you that you can make hundreds and even thousands of dollars a day on facebook?

That would be your ticket to generating some cool extra cash while connecting with friends, uploading your pictures, updating your status and commenting on your friends status too etc. If you are a facebook addict, get ready to turn your passion into another stream of income.

Let's face it... facebook is the largest social network and second most visited website today. With over 400 million active users and an estimate of over $11 billion in ad revenue alone (an upsurge increase from $500 million in 2009) . Facebook has been predicted to be worth more than $50 billion in few years time as it's getting more popular than google (the biggest search engines) and other popular web 2.0 sites.

Have you ever asked yourself how this money is being generated and how you can be part of it?

What if I show you how you can grab a share of this, daily?

You'd want to learn, isn't it?

Then it's time for a change! And a BIG change at that...

If you're ready to finally discover how to turn your hobby on facebook into another stream of income, allow me to let you in on a dark secret that's been kept hidden for years now...

lol... Starting and building a group or fan page is one. if you keep posting helpful stuff on whatever niche your in, on both your wall and your group you can grab a good amount of attention.

          Facebook Basics:

Like Mentioned above, you want to be able to start a Fan page on the niche you are in.

          Tips
Make the title keyword search-able, yet interesting.
I like to leverage current events and add a twist to it.

Also, You can target local areas that don't have a Facebook page if you are in the local business market.

I like to promote the Fan page by inviting Friends to it and then running a Facebook Ad to the Fan page.

I normally use the option for CPM (Cost Per 1000) and set budget for $10.00 a day.

I also like to use the FBML (Facebook Mark Up Language) application and encode Aweber code or (Auto-responder of choice) to create a opt-in page.

To me this is golden for building a list.

Also, you can Iframe sites as well. (I have seen some advertiser's Iframing Banner ads)

As for money making, it is hit or miss. I think Facebook Ads and CPA would be the way to go.

I love the way they let you drill down and target demographics.

(However, I haven't been really successful with CPA ads as much as I have been with list building.)

Other methods are CPA with Applications and games. Quizzes and Steps on Fan pages with Free Laptop give aways for example. But, Facebook is cracking down on those pages since they updated their TOS.

I think making money with Facebook is greater with applications and games. Anything else maybe a bit challenging but not impossible.

          Hope this helps

          Shane

        Hi,

Well two ways would be to:

        1. Start a fan page
        2. Start a group

The power of these is infinite as everyone sees others
joining on their live feed and then join themselves.

The kicker is to figure out what will attract lots of people!

Once you have that you can then advertise.

        HTH!

Starting a Fan page is no longer a viable strategy for IM on Facebook because now Facebook will automatically convert your page to a community page once it get's big enough to start making money with.

Groups are much too small. Response rate on Facebook is extremely low in most cases, so you need a page with hundreds of thousands of fans to really make bank with it. People lucky enough to have built their pages up that far and somehow passed the verification process seem to be grandfathered in, but for the rest of us, that method is no more.

You could try building lots and lots of pages and just cycle through them, but to build the pages to useful size either takes a lucky strike on a hot topic, or it takes a good long while, or you can spend money promoting it with facebook ads, but that will add up so you need to be sure you can recoup your investment before Facebook converts your page.

However, listbuilding on Facebook does seem to still be viable because when Facebook takes over the page, you can just build another and keep building your list until facebook screws you again. It's a cycle over and over.

So if a popular marketer like Dan Kennedy has a fan page for himself because he will exceed the limit of 5,000 friends on a personal page.

Then Facebook will also TAKE his fan page when he gets too many fans?

OK, you are confusing two things, personal pages and fan pages. They are very different entities. A personal page limits you to 5000 friends. A fan page has no limit IF, and it's a big if, the person who creates it is an officially designated representative of the organization the Fanpage purports to represent, whether that be an individual, or a corporation.

Otherwise it's considered a novelty page, which Facebook will convert to a Community page once it get's sizeable, somewhere around 20-25,000 fans. For example if you have a page like "I hate it when my Grandmother slips me the tongue" that's a page that might well go viral and reach hundreds of thousands of fans. But it does not represent any organization so Facebook will eventually shut the owner out by converting it to a community page.

If you are just Joe Blow obscure internet marketer and you create a page about yourself, you can keep it no matter how big it gets because you are certainly an official representative of yourself, but such a page won't go viral so there is little point in doing it.

NO. If he creates an official page for himself, it's his. If he creates a "Community Page" then it could be taken over.

I agree on this .... Well said

          For Twitter,
Offer others to sponsor your tweets on Twitter, if you've a good amount of followers, or else, promote some affiliate links you have on Twitter .... Drive traffic to your website if you have any

On the PPC side of it:

Split test 150+ ads via FB Ad Manager, keep the top 5 high CTR/converting ads, make variations of those images, split test again. Repeat.

Sorry for the lack of detail, I'm kind of in a rush.

This is how you do it!

Make 50 fake accounts with hot girls in the picture. Then post 'ADD ME!' on farmville and mafia wars pages and groups.

Then make a page like 'OMG I cant believe this guy did this!' and have the fbml 3 step code so they have to join to see the next step. and the next step is for them to invite their friends. then they get to see the picture. but the picture is locked by a cpa lead gateway so u make money on every survey that is completed. and believe me they DO complete surveys lol.

And thats how you do it!

That's called e-whoring and just about everything you just described is a total violation of Facebook TOS. They are starting to shut down those kinds of things now. I don't think it will remain viable for much longer. I know at least one guy who has been IP banned for doing the multiple accounts thing, and I know of a whole bunch who's pages have been shut down for doing the 3 step thing.

Well how you make money is by getting fans and that is the easiest way. Yes it is in violation of facebooks TOS but what isn't? They are having a major power trip. I work with several facebook marketers and getting banned is part of it. You just have to protect yourself.

This method will stay viable forever if you know how to do it right. Yes they are deleting a lot of pages at the moment but this is because of the recent 'Force Invite' code. Hopefully facebook deleting all these pages will drive the noobs out.

List building is a very good option. But putting your actual opt-in box on your page might raise a few red flags. People do that so that they don't have to have their user leave their page and encounter the facebook security issue. There are ways around it but that would take way to long to post.

As far as the community page issue is concerned. I have several pages that are now considered community pages. The thing is, I still have full control over them. I am just counting the days to see what is going to actually happen.

I am actually creating viral community pages now to see how the whole process works from the inside. The community pages are just like regular fan pages. Everything you can do with a page, you can do with a community page. I am going to see what I can do with these community pages. If there is a way to make money with them, you better believe I will find it!

I use Facebook groups and pages to promote Facebook related offers. I've found that those convert best. Have tried CPA's and Clickbank, but since many Facebook lurkers are kids, they are not into that. Freebie stuff and Facebook apps work best!

I market myself as someone who can get you just about anything for a price. And also run groups related to what I'm trying to promote. For example for my affiliate opportunities, I created a group called Making Money In The New Economy. I basically discuss how average people can run their own home businesses and generate an income that isn't dependent on anyone else. The group pretty much implies if not outright states that the old economy and way of doing business is just that the old way meaning its obsolete and doesn't work anymore and that home business and internet marketing is indeed the present and future. So far so good.

Face Book ads can also be effective if done correctly. I tend to use them for special promotions if I want to sell something fast like a seasonal item or something that won't be any good any other time of the year, and merely run the ads up until a certain date.

If used properly Facebook can be a great tool to help your business. A lot of people say this but "content is key." If you consistently upload relevant content that engages your audience you will be successful. It is also important to create specific goals that you hope to accomplish by participating in social networks. Far too often people or businesses just create Facebook pages with no specific goals in mind and it really hinders their ability to turn social network participation into business success!
