The biggest mistake that most work at home professionals make is failing to treat the work at home job like a regular job. Because of this reason, many do not achieve the desired results.

Below are some Do's and Dont's in your work at home Job
1. Have a conducive and secluded working area. You need the peace to be able to concentrate on your job.
2. Prepare a daily to-do list. Ensure that it is not too ambitious.
3. Organize yourself: Prioritize your tasks.
4. Supervise yourself. Before the beginning of a new day, go over the previous to do list and address any shortcomings that may have been experienced.
5. Be professional in your communication.
6. Educate yourself through research and wide reading.
7. Seek expert advice at all times

  • This is absolutely true, we must treat these jobs like we do in regular working environment. Otherwise it won't last long, thanks for sharing friend.

A big mistake that people make when starting to work from home is not getting up at a certain time every morning and not getting dressed. Starting your day as if you were "going to work" really makes a difference.

The biggest mistake most unhappy work-at-home professionals make is duplicating all the same things they hated at the office in their homes.

Failing to treat the home office as a regular job has been classified as a "mistake" primarily by those who work with and for corporate clients. It's important to fit into the general corporate culture if those are the people you work with... but if not, trying to replicate the straight-laced and rigid structure of a job might not be helpful at all.

Just so you know the other side of the story. But EBR is 100% right - don't get all excited about the "work in your pyjamas" idea. Get up, shower, get dressed.
