Need HELP! (experts in wordpress)

INTERNET MARKETING

My page is showing this when I load it:
Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

The only thing I did so far is try to load a new theme for my site. I downloaded the file, zipped it, and extracted it into my site themes. This was straight into my wordpress file, not from the wp admin page.

What do I do now?

it could be a problem with the theme. delete the files of the theme, your site will automatically revert back to the default theme when you do this.

This has happened to me before.

Call your host, they will fix the problem.

I use bluehost I don't know how good the support and customer service is with your hosting.

I have that issue from time to time but it usually does not last, I refresh the page and it is back to normal. But if the problem persists, you are better off contacting your host.

Coffee in the mornings is a must! Work sometimes demand that I tweet, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. I Hunt and Shoot Aliens as therapy a few hours every day. There is also at least one plug-in I have found that interferes with the connection and had to remove it.

You edit you wp-config.php (or was it wp-settings.php?) and enter your DATABASE name, database user and database password. (Usually something like wrdp_SOMENAME)

On your hosting Cpanel check your wordpress database, their names and what user/password you have there. It should be a very easy fix. You likely overwrote the config.
