My Article Submission Method

I HATE article submitter software. I have several reasons for this.....

1. They usually require you to re-spin the article- waste of time
2. They submit to many worthless article directories
3. They are expensive

There are a few other reasons, but those are my main complaints.

This is how I do my article submission, and honestly with a little practice it takes very little time to do it.

1. Open up 5 windows of your preferred web browser
2. Open 10 tabs in each window
3. Log into 50 of your favorite article directories
4. Submit away!

Of course it does take some time to register for each directory, but you only have to do it once.

Once you do this a few times submitting multiple articles to 50 directories goes by quicker then you might think.

If you approach it in the organized manner as you have described it, then it can be done quite fast I agree. The initial signing up can take a bit of time but on the plus side you can develop you profile and have more control over your articles that way.

I do have about 10 article directories where I submit manually and I keep adding to the list, maybe I will even go up to fifty or so as well.

Signing up for accounts is a time suck for sure but iMarcos, RoboForm or LastPass can cut down on some of that time suck for sure.

I just find manually submitting to be far more effective then software. Unless of course you can point me in the direction of an article submitter that allows me to choose the article directories I want to use, and one that can solve their captcha's.

I have used submitter software, and yes they do work...... but like I said most of the directories they use are junk. All they are good for are low quality back links.

I find if I use the top 50 directories, I get good back links, PLUS I actually get article views. Most article submitter directories get no traffic.

Same with 1Password (Mac only, Windows Beta is out though).

Yes, this is very effective and usually gives 100 % success rate. I make my employees do this and they are good at it... As for bots their efficiency is what bothers me the most..

I'm debating investing in Unique Article Wizard, I won't bother much with spinning each article but I do want the one-click-distribution. Of course I could just bite the bullet and submit to 5-10 directories manually with no fee. I'm thinking though that I need to find a balance between raw backlinks and quality so I can't just dismiss either approach. I find software/services in the past would not work very reliably in the past. Any comments?

I have never used Unique Article Wizard, but I'm pretty sure you have to spin the article twice with that software. But I'm not 100% sure on that......

Like I said though the main problem I've had with article submitter software is the sites they send them too. Some of the sites are good but most seem to be sites that get almost no traffic and are just kinda junk directories.

I'm sure most will argue that a back link is a back link...... but I find that a quality back links are better then garbage sites.

If I can hand pick 50 good articles directories and submit an article to them just as fast if not faster then using software that I have to re-spin the article then send it out to garbage sites, I'd rather do it myself. Which I've perfected to an art.

I use an Article Submitter software but it is only part auto - in that it fills in all the fields, you still go to each site through the program and manually select your category and click submit. So the process is still partly manual, but saves a lot of time because it fills in all the boxes for you each time.

One of the things I definitely DON'T want to be is dang article submitter for any lengthy time of my day, I have more important things to do. I don't particularly feel like hiring some person in the Phillipines to clutter up the Internet with my articles on every penny article site out there. Wow, that rant came out of nowhere....

Maybe I'll just manually submit to 5-10 good directories each one with software perhaps and I'll just have to be satisfied with that. I'll produce quality over quantity, that means something still right?

Article submission is the fact that it allows you to submit different articles (submit to no more than 40 directories to get indexed) and resource boxes to different article sites. The automated submission method does not allow you to choose which directories you want to submit to, nor does it allow you to vary the articles and resource box text. This causes a problem because the search engines will not index all of your submissions. But you need all the articles to be indexed and to make this happen, article submission by the manual method is the better option.

It is generally agreed that outsourcing the article submission process is the bet way to get top article submission done without the stress.

Suite101 is not an article directory. Users are not allowed to include self-serving links in their articles and readers are not allowed to republish the articles they find there. Rather, Suite101 offers an AdSense revenue sharing deal with their writers.

Buzzle is also not an article directory, in the strictest sense of the word. They require all submissions to be unique (unpublished anywhere else) and they also don't allow readers to republish the content they find there.

I'm not familiar with Helium, but it looks to be a business model similar to Suite101, and also not truly an article directory as we generally think of them.

    18.isnare.com
    19.submityourarticle.com/articles/
I stopped using these out of this list.
    1. Buzzle - too much effort involved for a single submission. I could do much more in that time.
    2. ArticleCity - Doesn't need a login but for some reason I could never find my articles there after submission.
    3. Suite101 - Iv heard its good but they need resume and what not... Never bothered. Does anyone here use it? how well does it work?

Any thoughts from the article marketing pros on this?

I am all for automation, i.e. article directory submission software, but I am not convinced about article spinners. I have never used any myself, but I have read articles that have been "spun" and most of them are unreadable. IMHO.

You've read artices that have been spun by someone who doesn't know what they are doing or are lazy. They've either used an autospin feaure and not cleaned it up afterwards or just selected all synonyms.

When i spin my articles you won't know it's been spun. A few extra minutes can make all the difference.

I guess some people just want the backlink - but if there's any chance that someone will actually read what's been written i want it to make sense ad hopefully inspire them to click.

Will someone please explain how to use Buzzle.com for marketing. I was just over there, looked at about 15 articles and did not see ANY external links in any of the articles I looked at.

All of the links are just to other Buzzle.com articles or categories.

Buzzle has some of their own writers on staff so there are articles that have no external links. However, they also allow for submissions similar to other article directories and you can see them often in the last sentence of article. Check on their site under latest articles and look at last sentence to see the blue hyperlink. I just saw a few submitted in the get back your ex area.

right on... spinning in the right way is not a 100% automated thing. I use AMA for article syndication to blogs and I get some traffic directly from the links too. Its not too much but depending on where a particular site is terms of its SEO cycle, the traffic can be anywhere between 5% - 30% of the total traffic.

The Spinner and submitter on seNuke are fantastic. You get to leverage your work to more than just article directories, then you get to ping and bookmark from the same interface. Let's be clear, if you don't spin you are wasting your time, if you just use article directories you are missing out on a lot of other ways to leverage the same amount of work. seNuke has captcha solving, account creation, spinning, and 100% success rate on submissions in my experience.

I use Firefox and for manual submissions I just have a Bookmarks folder called "article directories" with the directories I prefer to use all in it.

I just click on the folder and then Open All in Tabs to quickly go through and manually submit.

Alternately I outsource to a freelancer to manually submit for me

Don't forget - if you have written a unique article you can get some extra traffic by saving it as a PDF and submitting to sites like YouPublish, Scibd, SlideShare and Issuu.com as well

      My process is usually:
      1 - write the articles
2 - submit to article directories
      3 - save PDF versions
4 - submit to PDF directories
5 - if a really good article - create quick video
6 - submit to video directories

Squeeze as much as you can from your content
