Default Traffic on a daily basis

I just want to know what do most of you do, for getting traffic to your sales page on a daily basis? I could do article marketing, submiting to directories, social bookmarking etc..

But surely, I cannot maintain this traffic.

I like using forums, ppc as well as outsourcing articles.

I've been playing with different versions of traffic exchanges,
coreg and just shy of every captain-insane-o tactic/service
you can use... nothing really beats those top 3 as of yet.

Oh yea, SEO is great as well.

As of this moment I've tried a mad # of ezines and other paid solo ads...

Nada flows to a level I felt was acceptable.

Web 2.0 stuff works well too, you can try http://www.HellowTxt.com
as a method for updating your sites without getting sucked into the
social networking time trap!

(Trust me, been there many times!)

JV partners bring by far the most targeted traffic you'll ever see.

And press! Yes, don't forget the press.

Never forget repeat traffic!

Its easier to do business with people that have done business with you before!

And that is exactly why list building is so important!

I spread out daily all the traffic methods, I believe in spreading out the methods this keeps my traffic steady.

Also if your building out a site, make sure to get deep links to all your pages, this does more for you than you can imagine

You can try articles consistently to establish a strong foundation (in terms of back links and article exposures on various article directories) for your sales page. Tell yourself to write at least 2-3 articles every day and do it religiously for the next 3 to 4 months. You should be able to see some consistent traffic after that.

Sales page is harder to rank on search engines due to its lack of content and pages. Therefore, you can consider adding some content to your site under a Resource section to stand a better chance to rank well for long term phrases.

Initially it is all hard work... you need to write the articles, manual social bookmarking, etc. Personally I think that it is a good learning curve and as time goes by, you will be able to reap the reward and fully understand the essence of driving and maintaining traffic.

Just my 2 cents.

Nothing wrong with free traffic, but things really turned around for me when I started offering out affiliate programs. My affiliates bring in most of the traffic, they get paid, and I get paid

Video sites also are a good start. quick and free.

All i read everywhere is to use whatever methods you want, but the key to succes is to be very consistent.

Paid traffic system work as good as free methods, but at both you need to be consistent.

Best regards...

Yes that is true, but before you settle for one method, be sure to explore other options. Internet trends change fast, and there are new opportunities and methods of getting traffic popping up on a very regular basis, don't miss out.

You can also piggy back off your competitors. I know a couple ways but don't want to give them up (it involves social networks). If you are smart, I imagine you can figure it out.

I actually piggy back some of my products off of every single product launch in my niche and consistently get 20-200 uniques a day just off this...

Well, if you are looking for traffic on a daily basis then paid traffic is the way to go. Free traffic is what I prefer, but you have to work on it for months because you build up a high-traffic site. Use all of the methods that you mentioned. Free traffic is also inconsistent because one day you will get loads of traffic but it may not be the same next day.

Default how to get traffic

Heres the methods of traffic generation i use for regular sales.

Forums
PPC
SEO
Blogging
Article marketing
Video Marketing using video submission sites like tubemodul.com

Paid:

Ezine Solo Ads
Banners
Pop Up's / Unders

For long term steady traffic, Articles and SEO works best in my opinion as they do not require you to do much to keep the traffic steady.

What you're saying will work if you do
it consistently...

Maybe throw some affiliates into the mix
as well...OH..press releases work well to
if they are written well.

Another option:

Google target placement (cheap and effective)

Thx,

Yep, if you like writing, article marketing is great. you want to keep it original as possible. Most people don't realize they CAN WRITE!

Also, go for Long Tail keywords. It's easy to optimize for them and you can get to the top of results very fast. If you stick with a theme, and build up your site with good orig content, you'll be a treat for the google bots ...

Default Help please - something new....

Hi all,

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong thread, but it would seem that traffic is a great plaec to start. I am attempting to launch a new service, namely txtThoughts - What Is It - txtthoughts provides motivational and inspirational thoughts everyday via SMS text messages.

I've tried PPC (and done a LOT of dough :-( ) with very little success in the way of getting subscribers. Hence my question (and plea for assistance is two fold);

I believe the fundamental premise of the service is sound, technically I have it all working in around 150 countries (I'm going to do the USA last due to some prohibitive cost things around short codes etc) - however, is it my sales copy / approach that is not enticing people to sign up - or is it simply a matter of...

I have yet to be able to generate sufficient traffic to the site to get the numbers to work?

If anyone would care to take the time to have a look at txtThoughts - What Is It and give me some feedback, I'd be forever grateful!

Many thanks in advance!

Darren

I love SEO but I also like to spread it out a bit. I find that having traffic coming from all directions helps a lot, especially if one of the sources dries up. Of course, I do tend to work on some things more than others but overall, I like to have a balance.

SEO is quite important. If you can get your site on the first page of search engines within your niche, this is great. In addition, I don't see anything wrong with 0.01c PPC to get an opportunity to sell to a customer. If the numbers (ie conversions & profit) add up, why would you stop doing it?

Good luck

Here is how I get listed my new website with google and get free traffic immediately.

When my new website is built I do the following:

1. Create an account with Internet Radio, Citizen Broadcasting, Social Media Podcasts - Blog Talk Radio and post one short post about my new website there.

2. Make a Squidoo.com lens and post two or three short PLR articles there. Sometimes I add video from Youtube.com

3. Make a blogger blog and post two or three post there. For these post I also use PLR articles and Youtube videos.

4. Write 5 unique articles related to my website niche and submit them to ezinearticles.com.

5. Make account with Zimbio - Online Magazines and post one PLR article there.
That is all I do to get my websites listed with google sometimes in less than few hours. I also get first few back links that way.

Then one week each day I add some content to the above sites. I usually use PLR articles for that. Nothing big, just short post.

Once a day I ping all of these sites with Ping-o-Matic! .

Ezinearticles.com usually approves my articles (I always get approved because I submit them unique articles) in a few days. Once articles are approved, I get traffic from these articles immediately.

Next thing I do, is to try immediately monetize that traffic. I add affiliate program to the site and if site sells at least one or two products from 100 visitors I know that I'm on the good way. If site don't sell at least one product from 100 visitors I try to improve site until I don't get one or two sales.

After I know my site is selling I start to promote it like mad.

Believe it or not, but these few things are all that I do, to get my sites listed and get first sales. I'm doing it for some time now with great success.
