Default How Can I Turn My Passion Into a Goldmine?

I love sports and I'm sure many of guys...and gals may too. I have favorite teams in every sport but basketball is my favorite. To be brief I was watching a preseason game and I was wondering are there any afilliate programs that I could join and help them promote? I know that this whole recession thing is affecting alot of people but, if you know like I know sports arent going anywhere. And neither are the fans especially when the team is winning games and have exciting players. People are really loyal to these teams. I know there has to be someway to make a killing selling sports items be it shoes, jerseys, balls, etc.

I often hear people say that you should be passionate about your craft and love it. That way you are doing what you love and you are getting paid for it, and for me it could'nt sound any better. On top of that I think my sports days of trying to go pro are over with realistically speaking. But I am still competitive in whatever I do. If it involves winning and losing I'm there. But somehow I've come to realize that....You can't go to war if you dont have the weapons...right?

If anybody has ANY ideas and or steps I would greatly appreciate it!

Start a blog about all sports. You can probably start writing your article now about how state already won the game on the 25th. I see you are form east lansing...

Then use the affiliate links to the team gear or whatever on your site. Just work them into the articles.

If you need some inspiration and an example, check out Joel Comm's videos on his blog.

Make Money Online - Joel Comm's Blog

It's in the series "A Dot Comm Story". I don't remember which video unfortunately, but I'd say just start at #1 and watch them all. It's very enlightening and he addresses his belief on making money with your passion. On top of that, he explains how he capitalized on his passion with a real life example.

A simple method which comes to mind is a Wordpress blog and the PHP bay pro plugin.

This would let you write sports related articles for traffic and monetize it with sports related memorabilia from the ebay affiliate program.

You could also combine it with the previous suggestions. It would be quick to setup and simple to maintain..

You'll find people who are broke and on the bones of their arses yet they still have season tickets.

Don't worry about any recession.

A huge percentage of sports fans are irrational and will buy regardless of how much money they have.

Kindest regards,
Andrew Cavanagh
