Weight loss products, internet marketing products,
    dating products.

There are some really good products on that topics at clickbank.

I hear that a lot. Kind of freaks me out though knowing there's so much competition in that niche, I haven't even tried it yet.

Don't worry about the competition. How many exercise products do people have cluttering up their basements? Do we not see even more being advertised all the time?

How many weight loss pills and potions have people tried in order to lose weight? Do we not see even more being advertised all the time?

The point is, if people want the result, they will spend the money and they will keep spending it until they get the result.

Weight-loss and dating are hugely competitive markets in which tens of thousands of other affiliates, some of them with big daily PPC budgets, and professional article writers bombarding directories with daily content, are engaged. It's going to be extremely difficult for someone's low-key article marketing to afford a very promising start in these areas.

Internet marketing products, in a sense, are even less likely to be productive, because all the above applies, and in addition there's the added obstacle that a proportion of the potential customers will already themselves be Clickbank affiliates, and it would be naive indeed to imagine that one can make an affiliate sale of anything to someone who already has their own Clickbank affiliate account through which they can buy it.

I was initially tempted by such markets, which was why I earned almost nothing for my first few months: they're unlikely to be unsuitable for beginners to Clickbank article marketing.

I switched to obscure niches (which really are "niches" - the ones above are not: they're "markets") with low-gravity products to promote against very low competition, was rapidly making a living, and a year later have never looked back at all.

        Just my perspective.

Hi, thanks for your wondeful answer here.
Now, I am running my online business guide blog (You can
see it by my signature), which is a blog relevant to online business, web hosting, Internet marketing, SEO, etc. According to my plan, I am ready to make money with this blog by Affiliate programs (Internet marketing products). Could you give me some tips? Thanks.
You see, I am just a newbie and not familiar with Affiliates at all, so, your tips will be very useful to me. Thanks again.

        2 Excellent points.

The dating niche is evergreen and lucrative but really gets going with 300 - 500 articles if that's all you're doing.

And yes, look up the definition of niche...

Sometimes you can do well as an affiliate for a new product since hardly anyone else is promoting it yet.

I would welcome more affiliates for my new CBSaleTracker

Good point, those niches can be brutal if one doesn't know what they're doing. We've been in the dating niche online for about 6 years now and the first six months or so was pure hell trying to navigate it. Today we have a ton of original articles across various blogs, websites, and directories. If you're going to jump into the dating market (giving advice to men and/or women) be prepared to write and submit a lot of articles. It takes time to build momentum in that market if you're only going to focus on article submissions.

The key is create your own content work using blogs, building a list (and/or community like a forum).......and very few things beat out free publicity if you're looking to build a brand (which is usually a person who can be the "face" of the organization. Think of people like David DeAngelo, David Wygant, Dave Miz or a group such as RSD, the Pickup 101 guys, The Style Academy, etc.).

    Hi Friend,

IM Headlines is right. However, I found that article marketing do not work if you are merely planning to write a couple of articles.

Also, you should try it out first. Even if there are so many people promoting the products, I am pretty sure you will find one keyword that is not yet dominated.

    Best of luck,

    Aira

I just published my first article a couple days ago, with a click bank product regarding getting in shape blah blah blah. I checked today and the link's gotten 7 clicks. So I figure I'm on to something just looking for ideas I guess. If I wrote 10 articles this way, yesterday, I may be making a sale per day from now on.

So yea I'm just starting to try it out...getting bored with the website building for a while

There are 2 avenues you can take with article marketing.

    1. Go after huge markets that you know people are buying in because you will get traffic when you article fist launches. As an example, weight loss. Using ezinearticles once you article is approved you are on the new article list and you will get good traffic for a brief period of time. So to capitalize on this, write more than one article.

    2. As an alternative method, you can pick a niche, do keyword research and find long tail keywords where you could rank on page one quickly. In using this method you could easily use Go Articles and have a page one ranking in hours. (this would be for a keyword with low competition, usually under 50,000).

These are just 2 methods you could consider when looking to promote a product or go into a niche.

    Hope this help.

Sometimes it can be good to pick a niche that people are a little embarassed about, and that they turn to the internet for help. Often this kind of niche is more willing to part with their money as they are a little more desparate. For example, flatulence, halitosis (bad breath), moobs (man boobs) or yeast infections.

This also has the advantage that generally a lot of people will steer clear of these niches (or at least it won't be their first choice!) and so there are fewer marketers involved in them.

Also it's good to look at conversion figures of the sales pages that your sending prospects too. I'll normally email the merchant for these - but you can get a good idea by looking at their sales page. It's pays to get this figure though - then you can get a rough idea and work out how many articles you need to create to generate a certain amount per month.

I've found CBENGINE - ClickBank Marketplace, Preferred by ClickBank Affiliates to be a great help when choosing clickbank products. It's far easier to search for products then clickbank. Also, if you want to compare various products in the same niche, it's good for that too. This way you can see which vendor has the best sales page / offers your prospects the best deal.

    Regards

To take you on a tiny bit Al, like you say the above are markets not niches. How about searching for smaller niches within these markets that may be easier to rank for?

You may get less searches but you know that overall you are in a market where people spend.

Really my point is I would not rule out the big niches altogether, because they do earn, but just be savvy, and try for the less popular niches within them.

I've competed in the dating and weight loss area on Ezine and I've done 10x better creating my own products. Like I said in an earlier post, I directed 1,500 to 2,000 clicks from my articles to truthaboutabs.com. I made 2 sales. One of them was a $4.95 trial and the other eventually was refunded.

I am still not sure why my crappy little product outsells a product that supposedly is an 8 figure business.

I recently received a video email...talking about cloaking affiliate links with budurl.com before placing in an article resource box so it doesn't look like an aff link.

Works on most article directories, but ezine articles has caught on...Figured I'd throw it out there

There are many interesting things said in this thread, and all I can add is that you need to capture email addresses and not sending people directly to the merchant site.

Do this and you should increase your profits.

Go to the Clickbank Marketplace and then go to each top category (from the main drop down menu) and look at the top 20 products. Then check out the gravity and look for anything with at least 40 (the gravity gives you a rough guide to the number of affiliates who have recently sold that item).

Go for something in the home/self improvement category.

Article marketing is a good way to target that audience, especially because a big portion of your traffic will be on the lookout for all sorts of advice.

That'll make them more receptive to what you're saying in the article, and ultimately help you with conversions

What about coming across another article in the search results where you would like to rank, is it simple enough to just slightly over optimize the article I'd be submitting? Maybe with just a couple of backlinks and some on page?
