Thanks WF!! Every Time My Customers Spend $1 I Really Make $47

This is a shout out for the insane brainstorming session i did with some of the warriors a week ago. To say Thanks I said I would share it on this wonderful forum.

This is working great so I thought I would share it with you...and spill the beans.

Ok I have XYZ ebook. And it is $47, but when I got hold of some of my clients they said the biggest thing for them is that they didnt want to spend $47 up front. I was cool with that...and thought lets just try the following after a brainstorming session with some smart warriors.

- Instead of $47 set price to $1 (easier for them to say yes & buy)
- I tell them pay $1 now, and they will get billed another $46 in 30 days (can vary but).
- Alot more people think it is a no brainier and purchase for $1. Then all I have to do is wait a bit to get the rest. EASY! Everyone is happy.
- I also, plug other affiliate links on my download page after they have bought. I see too many download pages that are just waited real estate. If people buy your products they are more likely to buy more products from you even straight away.
- Also when the 30 days is up i send them a link thanking them, and offering assistance if they require it. That has helped alot.

TEST RESULTS TO A SMALL LIST OF MINE :-

1) straight sales page with BUY NOW $47 - 22 Sales = TOTAL $1034

2) Straight sales page with BUY NOW $1 - 84 Sales (5 Refunds) = $84 upfront $3634 30 days later taking into account those 5 refunders.

I couldn't believe that doing this increased not only my sales but responses. If you have a good ebook, people will feel they need to pay you the money anyway.

IT WORKED!! VERY WELL INDEED. Yes I do get some refunds, but that is normal in any business.

Try to work this sales funnel into your business or incorporate this sort of marketing in your business and see if it makes a different. I am sure you will get some great results as I did.

    Great work Celente.... and yes absolutely this works for more reasons than 1. Rebills on CPA networks make fortunes relying on this, the only thing is they keep billing month after month.

    Are you simply using PayPal for the processing or a different processor?

      I never say never these days unless you test it. My business partner and I learnt this the stupid way. And sometimes the stupidest or weirdst ideas are the ones that work really well.

      Remember that you are not your customer, and never under estimate that.

      Of course everything we try doesnt work out....but that makes it even better. Then you know what not to do, or use for future campaigns. Testing and up-scaling for our business brings in the most money.

      SO test everything, you might get a surprise...as we do a few times a week. Never think that Idea that keeps you awake at night wont work. Keep a pad beside your bed, write it down. Have a good nights sleep. Get up in the morning, switch on your computer, take action, and have some fun with it. If it works go with it. If it doesnt....at least you gave it a try. Now go and test something else.

      Isnt if fun being a marketer.

    Most of my download pages have a one-time offer on them. The one-time offer is basically a discount on another product that I think they'd be interested in based on what they purchased. This practice adds a few hundred dollars a month to my bottom line, and I'm only doing it with about a quarter of my products right now. I'll be adding more OTO's to my other products as time allows.

    Nice post. I'd actually been brainstorming different "out of the box" ideas to try, and this is one that was on my list. Thanks for your test results. I'll probably try it myself.

    I try this with a membership site, which works out pretty well but doing it with a product is a new idea to me.

      It is quite funny u mention this.

      It is on my list to test soon.

      Alot of this new membership sites buzz is still hot....but like with most hot trends, they develop, transform, and it will be interesting to see what happens over the next 12 months.

      I bring in $xx,xxx a month with 2 of my most popular membership sites. SO they are going great guns. But the more I test, the better things get.

      I have actually joined a well know membership site in IM, not because of the content. I was told the way they run the site and the funnels is worth joining for...and it was. I would say do join membership sites to get some ideas of why they are so successful. I have done this several times.

    Just curious but you mention a paypal script. What do you use exactly? Do you automate the system with this script or do you go in at the end of the 30 days and bill them manually?

    As others have pointed out, the 30 days isn't up yet. Most of the refunds usually come at the end.

    I've tested free and low-priced trials before and the results were uniformly bad. You usually get people who just want your product for nothing and have pretty much decided to refund before they buy.

    But they don't refund until close to the end of the refund period.

    I've talked to other marketers who've experienced the same thing. We were all excited initially... just as you are. Then reality reared its ugly head in 30 days. In each case, we found we made fewer sales but more money at full price. And those full-price customers were more likely to buy backend products and require less support.

    I hope your experience turns out well. But it's really too soon to tell.

      I value your input. But I remain positive. WHY no matter if it works or not you just gotta try it out.

      I think the reason i get so many good sales in the day is because of a positive attitude. the more gratitude I give it is like the more good things come my way. I am sure you know what I mean. What ever you focus on, seems to come your way.

      I get up in the morning and pretend like the sales have been running hot and my clickbank account is filling up fast.... stay positive, give gratitude and just get your mind in the same space and excitement...the same as when you go to your email and see NOTIFICATION OF PAYMENT RECEIVED.

      I have noticed that the days i do this, I normally get more sales. Funny lil thing ey? See I told you I test everything. Even my mental attitude. LOL. Am i making sense

    Additionally, you have to take into account your refund percentage. With ebooks there is no incentive for a person to pay once they have it.

    So let's say you still make more money but now you are rolling at 35% percent of people who cancel/refund that sale.

    You are going to draw a lot of attention from your merchant provider when your refund/cancel rate climbs like that.
