Is there a way to stealth links in a pdf?

I'm thinking of throwing together a workout product and giving it away for free but loading it up with affiliate links. Is there a way to 'stealth' them so that they will look like yoursite.com/product instead of yoursite.com/weirdnumbersthatwon'tmakemeclick

Anybody who helps gets a digital hug from me.

Yeah, put up a redirect page on your site and link to it.

Although, you want to stealth your aff link. You still need to mention, in your ebook that you are compensated for the sales of... that product which you are an affiliate for.

Unless the ftc has changed their rules, you should mention it.

Good point about the FTC. It's easy to forget that when shoveling advice because the regulations changes are still new.

When I don't want to bother with the coding I just use aCloaker.

    1. Go to aCloaker.com
    1. Paste your affiliate link in the provided box.
    2. Hit Generate.
    3. Download the version you want (I prefer the PHP one)
    4. Rename it to index.php (or index.html)
    5. Log in to your hosting and go to your public_html folder.
    6. Create a new folder and name it whatever you want your redirect to be called, such as the product name.
    7. Upload the index.php file from aCloaker into the new folder you've created. (Make sure you don't accidentally overwrite your main index file in the public_html folder).

    That's it.

Now whenever someone goes to www.YourDomain.com/NewFolderName they will be redirected to your affiliate link.

Alternatively you may wish to create a folder in your public_html called 'go' or 'recommends', and place all your affiliate redirect folders inside that. The result would be something like www.YourDomain.com/go/NewFolderName.

Thanks guys, I actually do the php script but didn't connect that same concept to an offline pdf. This would actually be great because I'd be able to change the destination of my links without republishing the ebook.

    Digital hug given.
