Best Forum Platform to use

Hi warriors,
I am looking for the best and most secure platform for a forum.
I used PHPBB and it totally got spammed by some bot programs. I tried updating versions and installing more complex captures etc.

    V Bulletin, seems to be one that i have seen used quite a bit...
    It is used here on the WF so it must be okay.....

    Im my experience of web surfer, I've seen a *lot* of VBulletin forums.
    It appear as the first choice for professional forum.
    Here you can find a comparison site: ForumMatrix - Compare Them All where you can compare forum scripts.
    Here you can find the biggest forum in Internet with the software used: The largest Message Boards and Forums on the web!
    You'll be surprised to see that the largest forum is supported by..... PHPBB !!

      Take a look at MyBB. I've just set up a few sites with it and so far, so good. Like you, I've grown tired of phpBB spam and although I don't know how MyBB will do against it, it sure can't be any worse.

    I ll try vBulletin. are there any custom plugins/modules i have to put into it to make it more secure?
