How do i work out where my clickbank sales come from

INTERNET MARKETING

Hello,

I am promoting a clickbank product, i do this by

- writing articles
- making videos
- using yahoo answers

what i want to know is - how do i work out where my sales come from.

- if someone clicks a link in my yahoo answer
- or from EZA
- or youtube
- also what if they're at youtube and type my site in the address bar (can you find this out)

how do i work this out?

You need to add a TID to your clickbank links in the control panel area. It's a blank space to add identifiers.

Otherwise you need to use a link tracking service such as Prosper202.

Use a tracking ID at the end of your affiliate link (TID).

When you go to get your affiliate link, there is a field that says TID... use a different TID for where-ever you are promoting and when you make a sale, it'll tell you what TID the sale came from.

Also, just as a side recommendation... you are leaving A LOT of money on the table if you aren't building your list and THEN promoting. Otherwise, you're just doing hit-and-run affiliate marketing... most people don't purchase on a first-time visit!

... and make sure you make a note of the tracking ID ... not like (*** cough) someone I know who just labelled them 1, 2, 3 etc and hasn't a clue

  Another option is to use Tracking202 - its free and tracks affiliate URLs like Clickbank. I like the interface and stats.
