Questions regarding legal issues in IM

Dear Fellow Warriors,

I am a complete newb in IM, I`ve learned about it recently and decided to use this vehicle to support my living and study abroad.

The information overload for this industry is quite... advanced . It feels very ovewhelming to look for certain information and not only finding a whole lot of sources (all of which claim to be unique, magical, instant-and-easy-to-use-step-by-step-blueprints-to-earn-money-with-0-effort...), but during that time also finding some other, supposingly much cooler and newer things.

Frankly, I am not that eager to waste my money on something, that is useless to me or simply is a bunch of doo-doo. As I said, I am a student and I simply don`t have the money (that`s why I`m starting in this arena )

So I have a few questions, regarding IM and legal issues:

1) How most of you guys register (or not register) in your countries to earn money in affiliate marketing, freelancing ? What about taxes ? Are there any appr. income thresholds, below which I can earn unregistered and unseen by authorities ?

2) How did you, todays experienced IMers, go with that, when you started in IM ? How it would be better to start today ?

3) I am planning to create my own infoproducts - should I or should I not register as a sole proprietor or any other form of business structure ?
If my first products will cost approximately less than 50$, should I register as soon as possible or wait if this thing grows to the income amounts, that are quite serious not to declare them ?

I do understand, that if I am just starting, money probably won`t come today, but still I want to know this stuff, because so far very few infoproducts on IM spoke about this topic...

My situation is that I am alone and I love creating new concepts and ideas, which makes content creation for me quite enjoyable. All other stuff I learned and will learn from other Infoproducts on IM.

4) I am living and studying right now in Germany, but I am originally from Latvia (I am a citizen of Latvia and have bank accounts there on my name) so do I have an option to use my Latvian bank account to pay taxes in Latvia? (My PayPal is set to a latvian bank account, but by registering a domain and hosting I`ve used my german adress).

5) If someone knows legislations in Germany regarding IM or have at least link or reference, where I can get this information, I would be very appreciative

6) Which Infoproducts about IM, that you know of, can cover my questions in detail, if there are any ?

Thanks in advance, any feedback and help will be appreciated

I think someone who lives in Germany/Europe will be best fit to answer your question.
All i can say is that for me...I need to pay personal income tax, but that only applies to me (live in South Africa). I get to write of some tax if I claim the monies to be "commission".

I think you might be better answered on the legal issues by doing specific German searches in Google or perhaps your government web sites.

Regarding making living money in IM, you might want to try niche affiliate marketing first. I'm not sure about IM in Germany, but in the US it's difficult to make inroads. Niche marketing is much faster income.

    Good luck to you,

    Alex
