Is agreeing with someone not allowed on this forum?

I bought a WSO recently where the seller claimed to be making over $1000 a day each and every day. I soon realised it was a scam and requested a refund.

I noticed a couple of posters on the WSO thread expressing their opinions and I agreed with them. Now I see those posts have been removed. All positive posts have remained, all negative posts have been deleted.

I didnt post anything on the thread about it being a scam, just agreeing with 2 other posts.

Welcome to the wonderful world of WSOs....

You can find some great products and people there...but, I do try to stay away from the $1,000/day products....but, that's just me...

Did you receive the refund you had requested?

      After numerous requests, yes.

When every positive post is "thanked" and every negative post is deleted (presumably by the WSO seller reporting the posts), that shows just how it easy it is for a scammer to control the WSO board.

      Ridiculous if you ask me.

It takes more than one person reporting a post to have it removed. Without actually seeing the thread in question, it sounds like there might be some shilling going on.

I'd drop a note to the Help Desk to ask them to take a look...

John always gives sensible and SIMPLE solutions. If I were you, I would have contacted the help desk or a moderator first before ranting out on another thread. (THIS ONE) Or maybe even try reading the FAQ to see if there is an answer there!!!

Just going by what the OP says, it seems unlikely that a forum moderator stepped in. I think John may have something here:

IMO, it's always worth checking that the positive reviews in a thread aren't all made by members who've joined recently (the last few months or so). That's just another bit of due diligence.

I surely hope this is not the case. Would be nice to see a moderator confirm or deny this.

It's not wrong to agree with someone on this forum.

Although I can't speculate why all the negative posts were deleted and all positive remained. You were a purchaser and therefore should be allowed to post your experience with the product without being censored. Without clarity on this issue, censorship would make researching WSO's on the forum before purchasing, worthless if this is the way the ball rolls in that section.

It may be the seller asked the negative posters nicely to
remove their own posts. He may have refunded their
money and even persuaded them his method is legit,
even if not their cup of tea.

There's a lot of hyperbole in the WSO forum. Seasoned
marketers are immune to the hype usually, but that doesn't
mean products sold with ridiculous claims have no value
    at all.

Still, the guy's claiming $30k per month incomes slumming
it on the WSO forum for a couple of ebook sales make some
    of us a little skeptical.

It would be good to hear from a mod on this one. Personally I'd prefer to see the downsides of a product as well as the positives so that I can make an informed decision about whether to buy it or not. If something looks all positive then I usually think it's too good to be true and steer clear.

Negative posts and Political comments good or bad
usually end up deleted it seems.

Hyperbole, I like that word Loren.

Questions beat statements any day. I have never had a post deleted in a WSO by asking a question that the seller couldn't answer. Attacking the seller or derailing anyone else from buying are not allowed in a WSO as far as I know

    Just my 2 cents worth...

I have posted WSO's in the past and had lots of positive comments - then, someone comes along with a post count of "1" and slams the product without saying much else.

I do not know why people do this but it happens. When it does, I ask that the post be removed and usually, it is.

I have also had real users of my products indicate that they are having problems or not getting the results expected. In those cases, I offer to help them along and never ask that their posts be removed.

I actually had one case where a forum member tried to start a discussion about a different topic entirely - totally off topic for the WSO - and I asked that that thread be removed.

Without seeing the post that you "agreed with", it's impossible for us to know whether the removed post was inflamatory or not. I would bet that since it was removed, it was.

    Just my 2 cents worth...
