Getting testimonials for Non IM niche

Hi fellow warriors,
I do not know if this is the right page for this post...
I have a new product in a non IM niche. I am looking for ways to get testimonials. I understand that it involves giving review copies. I want to know where can I post my request for tesimonials, here in the warrior forum or any other places.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

Here's what I do. Find active forums in your niche area. Add some replys, comments, new topics etc. Provide value to the forum. Also means links back to your site.

Then contact the forum owner telling them what you want to do. Everybody has said yes so far.

I would do a search and find some active forums in the niche. Go to google and do a search for 'your niche' forums. That should give you a good bunch of forums to check out. See how active they are by checking the dates of the most recent posts and offer up some review copies at those.

Thank you Andrew for your advice...
Now if I want to request for a couple of testimonials here in wf, which category should I post my request in? Here in the main Internet marketing discussion forum or the off topic forum?

You'd need a more experienced WFer to answer the 2nd question. I don't know the official rule. Yet to launch an IM product myself.

Yet, my guess would be off topic if it isn't IM related

Yes, forums are great places to find for product testimonials. Place your review on these active niche forums and then wait for those responses that will come in. Also, you could place that review on your blog and absolutely, your readers will be eager to try it and leave a good comment.

BIT OF OUTSIDE THE BOX THINKING FOR YA!

1). Create an additional report that expands on some of the key points of your main product or even some worksheets, whatever, just something that adds extra value to your main product.

2). At the back of your main product inform your customer about this additional report and all they have to do to receive it is send you a testimonial of your main product.

3). The testimonial you receive will be from a customer as opposed to a freebie-seeker so is actually a lot more genuine. Your customer is happy because they've received added value from their investment. It's a win-win.

4). List your product on the www and start promoting it like crazy. You'll get sales and honest testimonials.

THIS WORKS MY FRIEND. I'VE DONE IT MYSELF IN A HOBBY NICHE. IT BRINGS IN SALES EVEN NOW, ALTHOUGH I DON'T NEED THE TESTIMONIALS ANYMORE BECAUSE I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH OF THEM SITTING ON MY HARD DRIVE AND ON MY SALES PAGE!

Thank you Andrew and Shum for your tips. They will definitely help me much.

Thank you Garry too for the very insightful method that you have listed in great details and also for the gentle rebuke. Please forgive me for posting this thread here.

Kindly note that I have NOT asked for any testimonials here. What I did ask is whether there is any forum here in WF that I can post a request for testimonials. Now that I know it is frowned upon, I shall abide by the terms of this wonderful forum where I have gained much knowledge and friends.

It wasn't meant as a rebuke (sorry if it came across that way!) but merely sound advice.

Anyone can see you HAVEN'T asked for a testimonial on this thread but you are enquiring as to how it can be done on this forum.

Also there is no reason why this thread cannot continue with further advice from other marketers as to how you can solicit testimonials for your new 'Non-IM' niche product.

      My tip is proven though!

      All the best.

      Garry.

Hi Garry, I am sorry for misunderstanding the direction that you are coming from. Anyway, no hard feelings on my side. By the way, I have also thanked you in your post if you have noticed.

I have so much to learn from you that there is no room for any hard feelings whatsoever. I am here to learn and grow and to network with successful people so that I too can be like them, yourself included.

Can I now be your friend Garry?
