Uploading WP Sites onto new server

I'm in the process of moving from JustHost to HostMonster.

It's been almost a week and NO DICE in getting 2 of my established blogs onto the new site. I'm going nuts and HostMonster doesn't deal with these issues (otherwise their support is good). So... what can I do? Has anyone used any trusted services to handle this?

    Never thought of that.

    Here's what I've done


    - Made a full backup (on my hard drive)
    - gotten the sql databases of the wp posts (on my hard drive)

    Everytime I upload the full backup *which I now know I'm not supposed to do* I don't know how to unpack it!

    And when I upload the sql databases, the error says it can't use a zipped compression file. . . maybe I'll try to decompress it and see what happens?

    Literally this is a headache.

        I don't know if you'd still be available. The databases are on WP but the files aren't showing up on the sites and I'm going nuts! I have 48 hours before I get majorly screwed by Ezine Articles.

        The oDesk team screwed up too!

    Transfers can really be big headaches at times. Not only the transfer, itself, but assuring the new host has everything on their server that the old host had in order to allow the work you have already done to be used.
