Always test things yourself!
I know many warriors have already said it in the past, and I don't want to sound like a broken record, but always, always test things yourself before taking any advice for granted.
A rather famous article marketer gave specific advice about resource boxes to increase your click through rate and I though I'd just give it a try. See the results in the attached graphic.
The stats with the yellow background are from articles I wrote a week ago with my old resource box, the top ones are the ones with the new resource box. See how much the changes have affected my CTR? If I hadn't tested this and just listened to that guy I would have terrible CTRs thinking it's the best I can do.
