Do you think this is possible?

Hello Warriors,

I have a pdf file and I want to upload it. Would it be possible for me to have this url for my pdf file, http://mydomainname.com/SpecialReport.pdf

If so, how am I going to do it? I have uploaded it to my media library but the url is too long.

Please provide some steps and thanks in advance!

Just upload it on your server...

If your pdf name is one, then all you have to do is type in
yourdomain.com/one.pdf to get it. It should work.

    Cheers

By the way, mydomainname.com is just an add on domain. (http://mainsite.com/mydomainname.com)

Where should I upload the pdf file? What exact path? Please help me.

It has been a long time since I put up a pdf, but I think this is how I did it. If not, I'm sure someone will correct it.

Upload the pdf file to the folder where you want it to link from. For example, if you put it in the root and it is named specialreport it will be:

        mainsite.com/specialreport.pdf

If you want it in the next level down, like

        mainsite.com/nextfolder/specialreport.pdf

you will put it in the "nextfolder" folder.

If you upload it and it isn't named "specialreport" then change the name.

I hope that all makes sense.

Edit: Was typing while you posted your last message. Glad you got it worked out.

You don't have to use .pdf, you could just name it /Special-Report though. (you said it was too long)

Just upload it to your server and you should be ok to go!
