Warrior,
I just finished my first product, now it is up and running on clickbank.

I want to start promoting it, and i have a budget of 500$ to spend. how should i spend it?

I want to get traffic fast and cheap so i can test if my product and sales letter are working.

another thing, i tried to get yahoo ppc, but i got a suggestion that i should pay 20$ or so per click!! what should i do?

Thanks!

You can try AdWords, Facebook Ads, Stumble Upon, Twitter, Articles, WSOs, email broadcasts... there are really many ways of driving the traffic - and you need it.

Start at low cpc and creep it up until you start to see traffic. Don't use the suggested value unless you want to go broke.

Adwords is great in my book, but if you have your sights set on $1/lead then you need to be paying around 10c per click depending on your conversion rate.

I have paid $30/lead on a high converting page before due to the very high price of the clicks in that niche. It all depends on the level of competition and its also relevant to the ticket price of the product.

If you have a product in a very competed field like weight loss, gambling, dating etc.. then PPC isn't good for a beginner.

Go to google and search for the keywords you plan to advertise on. Skip through a few pages and see how many competitors you have and look at what they are doing and how they setup their landing pages. Also look at the estimated CPC in the keyword tool. You won't have to pay as much as this is you know what you are doing but it can indicate competition with deep pockets if its high.

Buy the perry marshall adwords course. When I read it I managed to reduce my adwords bill by about 20%, it is essential reading.

You can do quite a lot with $500

I would suggest SeNuke for $67 p/m you can send plenty of web 2.0 and Articles to your site, with high page rank for SEO

Next start a Facebook Fan Page for your product and start adding people. Create a Facebook ad and drive people to the fan page and your in Business

      Hope this helps

If you never done PPC, don't bother with it... Spend it on outsourcing things like articles, social bookmarking, backlinks and so on. Hit up the forums and have a sig link, do it the free way.

If you aren't experienced with Adwords, $500 can last you about 30 minutes. Proceed with caution. I would try all the other methods listed above before paid clicks.

Media buys can be a good way for promoting. Alexa has just started offering cheap advertising on their site, I heard. Hope that helps!

I would use some of that money to have someone write some articles for you on your product, then I would go into some PPC with Google and test drive that... I would advertise... Facebook is great for this... also try myspace.... You could also do some classifieds in various magazines like US Weekly, Star.. they all have classifieds in the back... There are TONS AND TONS Of ways to advertise and use your money...

One freebie I recently learned was to post a flyer with tabs that people can rip off.. or make a business card holder and place one every week at a local REDBOX Movie rental... sooo many people rent from those these days and I'm sure your cards would be taken

I would try to use a PPC/PPM like LEADIMPACT or MIVA, because you can get good Keywords for 2 or 3 cents and you can get a SplashPage/LandingPage shown instead of a contextual ad. This is a good way to get a List Built if you have an Autoresponder on your Splash/Landing Page. Google Adwords will suck-up that $500 quickly if you are not careful.

One of the things I would do is use $20.00 and advertise for affiliates in the Warrior Forum Classified Ads (Warrior Forum Classified Ads), to promote your product.

Also to help in that regard, be sure and contribute useful information in the Main Discussion Area, so the Warriors can get to know you. This won't cost you a dime either. And once you get your post count up you will be able to add a signature file to your profile here on the WF. However, again your post should be useful information not spaming the WF.

In addition you may well want to do a "press release". There are Warriors here that can write one for you and get you way more traffic than the occasional click from a PPC ad.

You can also outsource to have traffic driven to your affiliate page on Clickbank and of course to your sales page. The more people you have promoting your product the more eyes will be laid on your product.

Frankly, you might consider spending your budget on getting things done for your affiliates to promote your product. Things such as banners, e-Mail campaigns, videos, articles, keyword list, graphics and the list goes on and on. Of course you will supply this to them for free, but you will stand a much better chance of getting targeted affiliates who will in turn promote to their targeted list.

Here's to your success in your endeavor.
