I'm having the hardest time trying to cloak my links.

I learned of a method where you create a folder, create a txt document within that folder containing some kind of a <php redirect, then changing the .txt extention to a .php.

Next I'm supposed to upload it to my webserver.

The cloaked link should look like this, http://www.yourdomain.com/recommends/productname.php or something like that.

Recommends being the folder that was created, and productname.php which is the php redirect created inside the recommends folder.

Everytime I test my link I get the ts404 error.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

Any advice on this method, or is there a better way?

    A super-easy way to cloak your links if you use wordpress is the pretty link plugin. You just install it and you can start cloaking any link you want with your domain name. So it would look like this:

    http://yourdomain.com/productname

    If you're not using wordpress then you'll have to do it another way. The way you described does work, but it'd be hard to know where you've gone wrong without some more information.

    Forget the services; they go down, you go down.

    There is no need for any service. This is simple. You can do the following way:

    For example productA you are promoting.

    Step1. Create one HTML file as below and give name as - index.html

    <html>
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=http://zzz.xxx.hop.clickbank.net/">
    <title>productA</title>
    <body>
    <script>
    document.location.href = "http://zzz.xxx.hop.clickbank.net/";
    </script>
    <div align="center">
    <font color="#000000" size="2" face="tahoma">
    <b><font size="4">Loading productA</b>
    <br><br><br>
    Please wait...</font>
    <br><br><br><br>
    </div>
    </body>
    </html>

    Step2: Create a Folder in your host and give it the name of product. In this case productA

    Step 3: Upload the index.html to folder productA

    Step 4: Now the link will be http://yourdomain.com/productA/

    Please note you should not miss forward slash(/) at the end.

    Make things simple by using a software such as powerlinkgenerator or ninja cloaker...just my opinion...

      To simply put it that works for me is create a redirect link by creating a subdomain. You will get something like productname.yoursite.extension

      It's simply:
      1. you go to your control panel for your website host account (NOT your wordpress theme) but your actual control panel
      2. Find the section that says Domains and click on the link that says subdomains.
      3. Then put in your preferred product name (ex: easy-girlfriend if you wanted your subdomain to be easygirlfriend.yoursite.extension(.com.net, etc))
      4. Then create your redirect subdomain
      5. Then you will see there is no link to your new subdomain so click on manage your subdomain and past your affiliate link into there.
      Save it and now when you click that redirect subdomain, you should be directed right to the page and skip all the "hoplink hundred letter" links.

      Cheers,
      Aynka
