I have no idea how that happened.

Something similar happened with my AWeber account. I loaded the AWeber code in my squeeze page. Tested it and it went to someone elses autoresponder.

Spookily, I think her name was Michelle.

    Go figure

LOL, can you leave her a note there? Tell her to log out and change her passwords and do a rain dance.

I'd send a report to google.

I was trying to log into mine a little while ago and I kept getting a message that the page did not exist. Not sure if it's related, though...

OMG that's pretty bad. I have no idea how this could happen, you would need to have that person's cookie on your computer. I would go mad if that happened to me.

Bit more information...this Michale guy seems to be a Internet Marketer too! haha

I thought it was Michelle at first so I went snooping for any possible nude or intersting "images"....I stopped loooking once I found out it was a Michael not a Michelle! Haha JK.

It doesnt appear the guy uses this account for anything worthwhile, more like a junk email account.

After your recent success, Ernie, it's just Michael Silvester seeing if you can be trusted.

Same thing happened to me and he was only slightly disappointed when I... (never mind, that part's not relevant)

I don't see how could that happen if no one has been on your computer?

That's crazy! And also concerning, I don't use gmail though but I suppose with all the complexities of the webthings like these are bound to happen sometimes.

That is quite bizarre... However, what I did notice is that for the first time it gave me a little window announcing that I had been signed out because I either did it myself (no really?) or because I was signed in at another computer. Now, that is HIGHLY impossible, considering my daughters ALL have yahoo or hotmail and at the time I was logged in they were doing HOMEWORK (or so they led me to believe )... And my husband dislikes gmail, I wonder why??? He has an account in ALL the other ones (including lykos, go figure)...

NOT crazy at all! Did you use a public/shared computer?

It would be crazy if this happened at home at your computer.

(Why? Because the session is stored in a cookie on the computer, and maybe some person logged in, checked their mail and did NOT explicitly sign out.)

Then obviously somebody broke into your home and while in your house used your computer to check their email. If you see somebody wearing your clothes tomorrow, you will realize this is true.

It could also be someone who uses a dot (.) in their name. I have one in mine & every so often I get a change password email request (got one the other day) to a separate acct because I think it's the woman who doesn't have the dot trying to change hers. I get some of her email (she travels a lot so I get airline confirmations, & she buys cosmetics at Sephora).

This is a defect in production code. It happens. I second the poster that mentioned the "remember me" checkbox. It is a very bad idea and you should avoid checking that. 95% guaranteed that your cookie matched his information (with a buggy query) and his info said "remember me." In fact there is probably a developer getting flogged over this right now, even though it should be a QA tester getting the flogging (developers don't protest as much as QA's do since they are too busy typing to care).

You better clear your history, delete your temp files and cookies. Who knows what is brewing with all the strange stuff saved under there?

If you are using a wifi, you may need to check if someone is piggybacking on it - just check your wifi logs.

No worries there, you don't need to delete this stuff. This is a bug on their end and there is no danger on the client end.

The wifi thing is true. If you are not using encryption, anyone can snoop your system. Encryption is imperative if you have a home wifi, though I doubt this is the case with the OP, since this is a case of reverse-hacking, which is the first time I have ever heard of such a thing.
