Just Got a Consulting Gig and want to know how much I should charge
Quick background, I go to lots of entrepreneurial meetups. I started talking to this one guy who works in the business bank loan industry and after a few hours he asks me to be his 'traffic consultant'.
Here is what he'd like me to do:
Get him into twitter and start building leads and a list (daily program I currently have my VA's do for my company)
Get him leads through craigslist/kijiji (daily program I currently have my VA's do for my company)
Optimize his site for the search engines and run an SEO campaign to get his page properly ranked (6 month project)
Run a collection of regional sniper sites (6-10) to feed leads into his main sales funnel. (6 month project)
Here is my question:
How much would you charge for each component of this package and what kind of offer would you bring to him? My current costs for doing this in my own company are around 500 a month for staff and software, not counting my year and a half of experience in the industry. I'm thinking of charging 2500 a month for a minimum of 6 months and then charging a upkeep fee for the system for 1000 a month.
