What is our biggest mistake in affiliate marketing?

Hello my friends.
We create websites then use many tactics to promote our site. Buying links, publishing articles, bookmarking social medias, seo etc....
But are we sell products in sufficent numbers? Are we satisfied?

    I have no idea what your biggest mistake is, because I don't know you. When I first started out, my biggest mistake was lack of focus. I jumped around a lot when I saw the "next big thing". Once I got focused, I started earning quite a bit. After I was successful, I was able to branch out.

    Ye that's it, working on something and right before you finish, getting distracted by something shinier.

    Buying "make money" after "make money" ebook and not actually applying any of the information.

    I'd say that as a collective, our biggest mistake is failing to do anything (take action)!!

    I'd say it's putting all your eggs in one basket and having 100% faith in a single campaign. This is a really easy way to find yourself in the hole.

      The biggest mistake that most everyone makes when trying to do affiliate marketing is driving their hard earned traffic to the actual affiliate product on the front end.

      Take a look at the top affiliate income earners in this industry. They drive their traffic to their pages...build the relationships with your list and then promote them high quality products over time.

      And also, you have the opportunity to sell them additional products and the big money making products of your own when you get to that point in your business.

      THis is really the ONLY way to do business on the internet.

  • I see people start with an affiliate product like click bank then the next biggest mistake people make put a banner ad on their site and expect sales.

    I think a lot of people make the mistake (me included) of trying to do too many things at once. You get started on a project, work really hard on it for a few weeks, then when things don't go the way you expect you move on to another project.

    I've started to learn to give fewer projects more attention and things are starting to work out for the best.

    Hi there,

    The biggest mistake I ever made was to put an affiliate site on Google Adwords.

    I set my daily budget to $100 because I was desperate to make a sale and received 890 clicks in 24 hours.

    And guess what, not a single sale came from that...

    I did not mind not getting sales, but the fact that I lost all those people to an affiliate site where I could have had my own opt-in page linked to it. At least I could have seen 10%-20% of those 890 signing up for free information rather than just clicking away because the price was too high for them.

    Ouch! Don't worry, I have learned from that.
