Putting my knowledge to use quickly

I've been doing internet marketing in some form or fashion for many years now. I am feeling really comfortable with the knowledge base I have.

Here's the deal though, I usually only do a bit here, I have not really had to put it all together in a quick time frame.

Not sure this is making sense so let me tell you a bit of the story.

A friend of mine called really upset. Her husband had just gotten caught up in a sting operation and was in jail. She needed to make some fast cash so she could pay the bills this month and maybe get him out of jail.

I pulled up the knowledge I had from here and other places on how to make fast cash and decided to help her pull together a "jail sale" ~ very similar to a fire sale.

I was amazed at the amount of adrenaline that was going while I gathered up things to put in the sale, got the copy together, pages up, buttons done.

The whole shebang in a couple of days.

So now it's up ~ there's over 10,000 plr articles, plr products you can completely change and make your own, a bunch of great MRR ebooks some with sites/graphics and some not, a Ton of giveaway reports to build lists with and offer value. Whew.

My friend has also thrown in a great service based deal at the bottom. So if you'd like to check it out I'd appreciate it ~ The value is high, and the price is low.

PS it has also occurred to me I could use this experience to write up/video a new product!!

Jackie

I'm surprised you didn't put this offer on the WSO section. If you want quick results that's the place to do it.

    Good luck,

What niche is your friend in? In some niches it would be very foolish to let clients know that you or a member of your family had been arrested. According to lawyers I know, most people in the U.S. assume that someone who has gotten arrested had to have done something wrong. (Despite the fact that we all know some innocent people do get arrested.)

It surprises me when I see some business people freely discuss what some customers would see as disreputable behavior.

It doesn't qualify for a WSO, so that's not an option. WSO must be your own product, not resells.

      Clare -

You have an excellent start - but I think the text needs to be reworked. I read through twice trying to be a "visitor" the first time and a "marketer" the second read. Some thoughts that came to me...

The text may go too far in excusing your friend's husband, especially when referring to not paying attention to "detail". It does not say whether he claimed to be licensed or not or whether he was asked about it.

Most homeowners would not knowingly hire someone to do electrical work who was not licensed to do it. Home repair scams have reached a new high and a lot of media attention in the past 2-3 years and those folks aren't usually licensed.

As I got farther into the text I was feeling less sympathetic because it seems to protest too much.

The product list is overwhelming and I think visitors might see it that way.

I saw no mention of proof that you have the rights to resell the PLR and products but I think that should be included (including any graphics or templates). Otherwise, you might leave yourself wide open legally.

The statement that you are offering "every cool product we can get our hands on" is a red flag for me - unless you can also provide proof of right to sell.

Although the products are listed, there are no links to check them out to see what the quality is, the actual title of the product, who the author is listed as, etc.

Also think the response (sales) might be better if you divide the products into groups rather than selling a huge number for one price. They could be divided into groups for "niche marketing", "blogging", etc and setting low prices for each group plus a discount for purchase of multiple groups could be more profitable.

That would also give you opportunity to write a blurb for each group emphasizing product quality and usefulness.

Don't let my comment discourage you - you have a great start but I think you need to cover yourself better and promote the products as a higher priority than spending to much page space justifying what happened.

To me, the donate button is superfluous as the public seems more inclined to disparage those who break the law rather than sympathize with them - even when there are extenuating circumstances.

Not only that, but isn't the entire OP simply an ad for the package she's selling, in essence making an end run around posting a WSO or classified?

Our country is not much different in that regard, buddy. You only need to check the number of innocents languishing in jails for years; some even commit suicide unable to bear the jail life

    Clare,
I don't have it set up so there's a special price for warriors so I wasn't sure how to do it. I thought about it but haven't run a WSO before so wasn't exactly sure how to do it.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Go Here to post your WSO. It's $20 per listing. Just add your sales copy to the post after payment and be sure to format your text using the BBcode found at the bottom of the page. I suggest having instant delivery setup after for your WSO after they make a payment. To do this just create a paypal button on your blog that redirects them to the download page after payment.

Some people know how to insert the paypal link directly into their WSO post but I havn't figured that out yet.

You got a lot of PLR you're selling. It should do pretty well on there.

      Good Luck,

    Hi Jackie,

I went to your page through your link in your Sig. File. There is a very distracting line in there, repeated over and over again.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

I didn't know if you were aware of it. Just thought you'd want to know. (kind of like the heads up, "Hey, you've got spinich between your teeth")

    Good luck to your friend,

    Adam

Thanks for the heads up on the issue with IE.

I thought that was the case with the WSO which is why I didn't post it there, thought maybe someone had some other ideas.

Didn't mean to cause friction. I was just trying to help out a friend.

AND I was pretty proud I was able to put it all together and make it work.
