Hey everyone,

I have been looking into doing traffic exchanges and other free services such as downlinebuilder. Does anyone have recommendations to good free traffic exchanges or list programs? Also have you had success with them? I don't to waste the time signing up for a bunch of junk programs.

If you are seeking a good source for traffic exchanges, look at traffic wave first, they rate the top performers on a regular basis. This might be a good starting point for you.

    cheers

Hey I've taken an interest in this subject too. I've never seriously tried to market anything with traffic exchanges or list sites, so I figured I'd give it a try this month.

I just started a live case study for the next 30 days so I can share the results I get too. I've heard that you can use this kind of traffic to get some good results so I'm determined to find out!

TrafficWave.net is not a traffic exchange. Nor do we rate top performers in the Traffic Exchange niche. We do have a number of Traffic Exchange groups and owners that use our autoresponder service and we're thrilled to have them.

There are quite a few folks that use Traffic Exchanges quite effectively. There is definitely a "right" way and a "wrong" way. Used properly, they can be a great way to generate targeted leads/subscribers for your autoresponder and email marketing campaigns.

Your time is better spent elsewhere IMO. I wouldn't touch those with a ten foot pole.

Yup, that's exactly what I've heard lots of marketers say. But then again, there are those that say you can get a lot of leads from these things.

That's why I decided to test it myself so I can know from my own experience, rather than just listening to other's opinions.

I wrote a big post on my blog a few days ago explaining exactly what I'm doing with my test...the programs I joined, my plan, etc.

I've actually got a link to it in my sig, it would be great to have someone else testing this stuff too! Be sure to keep me posted with your results.

They seem to work if you are promoting a capture page and get people to opt into your list. Other than that expect varying degrees of results. I've sold some things and have also wasted alot of time and money on them. It's sort of like going to Vegas or the race track, you pretty much take your chances and might actually get lucky.
You really want to stand out from the noise as it were, as many people see the same kinds of offers on a daily basis or at least extremely similar ones.

  • I have had good success for a traffic exchange with traffic swarm. The issue is who is using a traffic exchange if you are not in IM market KEEP OUT.

You should not sell anything here either people are not in the mind set to buy you should only use squeeze pages. You will also have lower conversion rates here but since it is so easy to drive traffic it may not be a big issue to worry about.
