It's great that ClickBank provides some basic analytics on clicks to my site but has anyone else noticed the reported hops are highly inflated? ClickBank reports about 250% more visitors then Google Analytics for one of my sites PLUS there are always two or three affiliates who are sending crap traffic. For example this months I have these three bozos showing up in my stats: AFF #1 -- 1797 hops AFF #2 -- 3962 hops AFF #3 -- 9207 hops The traffic from these three are staying an average of 3 seconds and have resulted in 0 sales. Average site visit is over 1 minute and average conversion is 2% so I know these are redirected or machine generated visits. Just wondering if anyone else is having a similar issue. Brock |

I've noticed that too. I don't even pay attention to CB analytics. It's not accurate IMO.

Too bad through really. They SHOULD be the most accurate of all since they are involved from soup to nuts in the entire process. Brock |

I believe that one of the things that Clickbank accepts as a visit is a link followed by a search engine. I have one of those "Clickbank Malls" and find that sometimes I will have a couple clickthoughs for 200 or so products in an hour when realistically it should only be 20 or so in an hour through the regular user clickthroughs. Take this into account and maybe you can get a better idea. Google Analytics for landing pages is a lot more accurate to know how many people came to your page |

I think it could be cookie stuffing where the affiliate is pushing out a bunch of clickbank affiliate cookies onto his visitors computers without them knowing it. Then if one just happens to go to the publisher website and places an order they will get the commission provided the user doesn't go through another affiliate link first. Brock |
