Something other than "Paypal"?

Hi All,
I have just been kicked out of Paypal (Whitman just lost my vote for governor of California!)
Due to a violation of their "terms of use".

The problem is my site has the term "fake" used on the homepage a lot.

No, I do not sell fake Rolex watches or any other "fake" or counterfeit products.
So, with that in mind do you all have any other suggestions as to receive online payments?

Thanks
K

2Checkout is a really good payment processors, I think there's a $20 or so initial fee to activate the service. It is a credit card processor, basically, though I believe it does also incorporate PayPal.

Come on isn't anyone going to make any comments about the Meg Whitman for governor crack?

That is really funny. Someone has got to put up a site saying "A vote for Meg is a vote for Ebay" That would be a great one to play up even tongue in cheek

Well I don't follow the Governor of California race, and I had no idea who she was, anyway, so had to Google it.

It's funny, but I think most people will not get the joke as it will fly right over their heads due to ignorance, like it did me.

Anyway, as the reason for this topic, I too am interested in this for the future. Heard a lot of paypal horror stories so it worries me a bit.

If you like to get back on PayPal, you can sign up again using another credit/debit card and bank account.

What makes you think that if Paypal kicked you off the others wont. They all have pretty well the same TOS agreements.

Right, so they can find the use of the word 'fake' again, and bounce the OP again ...

You could try Google Checkout, since that also allows you to receive payments... I am currently looking into it, since I am in a country not supported by PayPal.

    Hello,
the most important thing that I have learned about Paypal over the years is to play by their rules.
The biggest problem that I have is just about every time I log in from a computer other than from home they put a hold on my account.

    Something new soon.

Really? That's a new one on me I must say.

You're right though, play by their rules as much as you can. May not stop them causing you problems but sure can't hurt to do your best to avoid them.

You should consider getting a merchant account if you sell to the "normal" people. If you sell to the IM niche, then you should have a solution that takes PayPal. 2CO has PayPal as one of their payment methods.
