Hello fellow Warriors!
I have a quick question and would appreciate any response or answer I can receive.

I'm looking to website development however I'd like to know which CMS will cost you the least for a Unique Template!

I'm currently using Joomla but I'm considering if I switch to Wordpress might the cost of designing and coding the template go down since it's techincally easier to manage?

What about a site without any CMS in comparasion to a site with CMS?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't noticed much of a price difference for templates for different CMSs. Obviously, if you pick an exotic CMS, which is not widely used, you won't have as many designers familiar with it and the price could be higher. Both WordPress and Joomla are widely used, so the price shouldn't be too different.

You may also want to take a look at Artisteer. It's an easy to use software, which allows non-designers to easily design a theme with a few mouse clicks and export it to themes / templates for various CMCs such as DotNetNuke, Drupal, WordPress, and Joomla!

It's definitely worth taking a look at, you can watch the videos on their Website and download trial.

If you are looking to buy templates, they can run anywhere from 5 dollars to several hundred dollars. Many of them can be altered slightly to look nothing like the original design - and when you buy them you can do what you want with links.

How difficult it is to tweek will depend on a lot of factors.

If you are looking to save, go spend a few hours looking at themes that are out there.

One of my latest I got from Themeforest and I think it was only 25 or 30 dollars. The designer had sold very few of them, and was kind enough to create some specialty pages for me at no additional charge. I changed the images that were stock on the theme and put in my own. I also paid another 10 bucks here on the forum to have a logo done. I maybe spent 40 bucks total, and in the end I have a very unique theme.
