Ezine article question please!

Hey everyone

Just a quick question I saw the answer somewhere but for the life of me cannot remember,

Ok so although I am building my list and building a business, I want to get more income streams going on so I decided to get back into article marketing.

Well I say get back into it, I only have 10 live articles, but now I got all the tools so im gonna hit it big time.

QUESTION..

To keep things simple and FREE I want to direct straight to the merchants sales page in the resource box, I did this before by doing a domain redirect..

BUT..

I read somewhere that you can use BUDURL to redirect to the merchants page?? Can you?

But then I read somewhere that due to the FCT guidelines you could not link straight to the merchants sales page.

So am I still allowed to do a domain redirect?

And does anyone know if I can also redirect using BUDURL?

As usual thanks for your time my friends..

cheers

Marcus

You can allow a direct redirect. It's Commission Junction that doesn't allow such stuff. I don't know what's BudUrl. But EZA doesn't have a problem with aff redirects for now. Although they are integrating a system to make the reader aware that the affiliate link is present in the article. (It will come below your resource box). So no worries.

Hit-and-run affiliate marketing, where you're trying to make sales from first-time visitors is highly ineffective in my opinion.

The best advice I can give you is to direct ALL of your marketing efforts (article marketing, etc.) to a squeeze page where you offer a free, relevant report in exchange for their email address.

From there, you can either set up your own broadcasting schedule to provide them VALUE on a regular basis, laced with the occasional promotion for a high quality product.

OR, you can set up a follow-up series to essentially do the same thing over a specific period of time.

That is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more effective than the "hit and run" tactic you're employing right now. Don't believe me? Then don't take my word for it. Try it for 6 months to a year and then just stick with whatever's working best :-)

    Hope that helps!
