Craigslist... more paid categories coming?

I just saw this for the first time after posting: So far it's not a problem, but it looks like something is coming.

      Considering that so much of what's on Craigslist anymore is scammy & spammy, monetizing the site may weed out the scammers and make for a better site in the long run.

      If monetizing it will help to restore the trust that the consumer has in Craigslist, then a legitimate marketer could actually make money using Craigslist (assuming they relaxed their TOS in certain categories). As it stands, there are so many scammers on the site that for every ad posted, you can expect dozens of replies, none of which is legit.

      As a marketer who has accidentally posted ads that were against their TOS (at one point), a marketer who feels that certain types of legitimate ads should be permitted, and as a bricks & mortar business person who posts ads for tangible products/properties/etc., I can tell you that it is almost to the point that I no longer use Craigslist at all.
