privacy and terms of use for Canada

Hey all. I was wondering how many hoops I need to go through to get basic terms of use and privacy statements together? Software was recommended, weblawpro or some such, but would that work as again I'm up in Canada? I really have not much of a clue and would love some guidance.

    My recommendation would be to Google existing online businesses & companies in Canada and study what they are doing, then formulate your own ideas...

      You could probably get a free 30 min consult out of a classy lawyer here.

      Alternatively through small business service centers as I did in the beginning.

      Without going corporate and paying the big bucks for docs specific to your business I'd go with the above advice or at the VERY least do get the basics of TOS and Privacy/Child Privacy on your site(s) just in case.

      It's a really individual thing that cannot be properly addressed through general software as much of it is sold anyway. In my case I was advised that blanket or generic policies will never afford you the protection that you could otherwise have.

      Personally, I think something correct and basic is better than nothing until you can foot the costs.

    I found something that is exactly what I need. It might be useful others, so I'll see if I can't sticky it. It is a generic privacy/TOS generator.
