DLGUARD PRO Is Ready!

Seriously... I imagine Sam is busy working on it, so I don't want to bug him directly, but I am just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this next release.

It was about six months ago that I was told "hopefully in about six months".

I've been waiting to check out the new affiliate program that is built into it.

Heh, I saw the title to this thread, and I'm thinking, "What? When? Have I just finished it in some kind of programming trance?"

It is coming along well - I don't like to give dates because I'd much rather release the product when it's ready, rather than rushing it to meet a deadline and release sub-standard results (ie. what a lot of game companies are doing these days).

Basically what's happening - I'm adding a full blown affiliate program to DLGuard. Not just a little affiliate tracking module, but a full on integrated affiliate program.

It's a TONNE of work to get this to the point where I'd be happy to release it.

For those that know me, I don't like to release "me too" kind of software. I want mine to be way ahead of the competition, and so that's what I'm crafting DLGuard Pro to be.

Thanks so much for everyone's interest - I'm glad I'm not doing this massive upgrade for nothing

When Sam DOES release it, it WILL be great! Sam isn't the kind of person that releases something filled with bugs to make a few fast dollars - can you say Microsoft - and then come back issue a patch! When it is ready to go don't worry Sam will tell us!

Maxy is going well! He's actually teething at the moment, but he's being a little trooper about it. So there was some lack of sleep for a little bit, but he's going well now.

I will love it even more and may actually ask it to marry me once it has an affiliate program built in.

Why?

Because for more than a year my customers have asked me for an affiliate program for my PLR Mini Mart and I didn't know how. Once your system is ready, it'll be a snap to implement and my sales should soar even more!

Please add special options like "lc=us" also for memberships! I just see that if i create a recurring payment membership using DLG i dont have that option to set default-language for the payment page.

I need to set this otherwise people get to a german page .)

You have this feature in the "normal" payment options, tho.

I've been looking for something superior to host interior affiliate programs with the ease of use your scripts have.

Not saying the stuff out there is bad, some is actually pretty good, but I'll definitely take a look at what you have to offer.

Yes, you'll have a number of payment cycle options - Weekly, twice a month, once a month. This should cover most bases!

Yes, you sure will! Initially there'll be a nice discount that will be cheaper than the retail price difference.

As a side note... In honor of Maxy (and you the nonstop workaholic father), I think you should consider renaming DLG to "Samson's DLG". It subtly denotes the strength of the historical figure Samson, yet it also relates to the combination of you and Maxy (Sam-son). Not trying to imply anything religious here, just thinking of you as a proud father and Maxy.

Will there be a feature with performance related bonuses?

For example:

For the first 10 sales an affiliate gets a 50% commission.

Once they've made 10 sales their commission goes up to 60% automatically.

Once they've made 50 sales they're commissions go up to 70% automatically.

Any chance of this?

I'm thinking of offering a plugin for this - the problem with broadcast features is that most people using DLGuard are using shared web hosting, and generally speaking, shared hosts don't allow you to email that many people. I think Hostgator shared hosting, for example, has a limit of about 500 emails per day.

If I offer it as a "standard" feature, then I'll have to explain to some people that their host simply doesn't allow this. If I offer is as a plugin, then at least then I can tell people to check with their host before they buy it.

Does that make sense?

I just hate to export my list and then use another program for this. The technical limitations of sending mails with a hoster shall not really be your problem then - but at least having the functionality would be great.

Also..we could have the option to specify whatever SMTP host.
