Non-electronic affiliate programs

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie at all this computer stuff (forums and Internet Marketing) and I have some questions. My husband Aeren (also a member here) is asleep so I'll ask you.

Can you please tell me of any where that has affiliate programs and that sells baby products that are real and not electronic (amazon, eBay). I just tried to sign up to Commission Junction but it looks like you need to have a URL already and I'm just doing some research at the moment.

Any other advice for a newbie to Internet Marketing would be appreciated.

P.S When you reply can you please use basic terms until I know the lingo (and Aeren says I'm a bogan so my language skills are pretty ****).

Thanks
Mrs Aeren

For research, if you know a product or brand that you are interested in then search for that keyword (or phrase) in google. As it is a particular product you will probably find that there will be several online shops in the results. Look through those first few shops and see if they have their own affiliate program. If there is no obvious 'affiliates' link on a shop you like the look of try searching google for an hidden affiliates page:

    site:website.com affiliates

Im not sure that I explained myself properly, I told you my language skills are s**t. I'll just tell you the plan and maybe someone can help.

I want to do a blog about baby stuff. I have a domain already, that's why this is the subject. I would like to make money from this blog and I thought that I could sell some items from being an affiliate. I don't have an item in particular but wanted to know where I could look that has affiliate programs that sell physical products, such as amazon and eBay. This would be to research what products are out there and what's hot.

But after reading the thread (well half) "what to do when you're desperate?", I'm not sure physical products are good for me right now. I have tried (tried very loosely) to sell someone's product but I had no motivation for that, I have also written some short articles or blogs (not sure what the difference is or what I was doing them for, I was just typing to help Aeren).

Now I have a goal, I want to make it happen, and I think my own site will help with the motivation thing, have my own "baby" as Aeren would say. I dont know the positives and negatives of selling physical products but you say it's not a good idea for beginners.

So after all of that, if you can understand what I'm talking about, I hope someone can help.

And I thought of something that I could turn into an ebook, I think:confused:

      Thanks
      Mrs Aeren

If you want to do research, then sites like Clickbank, Ebay and Amazon are a great place to start for this purpose, and the often have sections which highlight items that are selling well.

In terms of affiliate programs, you can join a network like CJ, Amazon, Share-a-sale etc, or you could search for them in Google - for example:

baby clothing affiliate program, children's toys affiliate program, ,,, and so on (Hope you get the idea ).

usually, quite a number of good affilate sources can be found this way.

Don't just look at the Larger affiliate networks. Many vendors also run their own in-house affiliate program, and it may be worthwhile contacting them to discuss any questions you may have.

Maybe you would be interested in becoming an affiliate of ebay and Amazon? I don't quite understand whether you already are or not. It is very easy and fast to become an Amazon affiliate and point people towards baby products there then get commissions. It is more difficult to become an ebay affiliate but you could ask here on this forum to find someone who knows how to qualify for that.
