Looking for free script like SteadyNiche

I'm looking for a free or cheap script like steady niche dot com - that pulls in blog posts, articles, videos, news etc etc - giving the end result like chronicautism dot com.

Can anyone help me out here - I need something totally newbie idiot proof as I have not a clue what to do with RSS let alone something like this.
#free #script #steadyniche

we produce a product called phpLD News (Home : phpLD News). Is that anything like you are looking for?

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Might seem like an obvious answer but why don't you just buy it?

cause I'm looking for free or cheap, as I've said I have no idea what I'm doing here so I dont want to spend $65 on something that may or may not do what I want it to do.

That's US$100 at the moment with the $ the way it is - I'm not buying anything from overseas at the moment cause it'll cost me a bloody fortune!

$100 is drinking money this weekend at the Gold Coast Warrior Bash hahaha.

Sorry the other is called feedpress (I think)
it's not as polished as far as the UI goes - but it's solid in it's functionality

I have used steadyniche and it performs well and looks good.

There are two main problems with the script as it now stands:

Your landing page will show anything that matches the main keyword -- some of the posts will be wildly off-topic, and even a turn off to your visitors. You will have no control or ability to edit these off-topic items.

They have a way to put up raw text (no html) on separate pages. The lack of html (or PHP) makes these pages nearly useless, and you can not have one as your top-level (landing) page.

And the documentation? very weak, and the script is totally locked up with ioncube. The support is also pretty weak, with the staff only checking the forums on a 'rare' basis: the answers seem to come from someone who is not familiar with the actual internals of the system.

Jahbini- If you are having problems with irrelevant content in certain modules, you can always go into the control panel and change that particular keyword for that module (whether it is video module, article module, downloads module, etc) and then do keyword replacement for the new keyword with one that is more relevant to your long tailed keyword.

With that being said I have been having compatibility problems with Hostgator since they updated cURL, but that issue is being worked on.
