Introduction and a question on article marketing/google ranking
Intro:
I'm a marketing noob. I joined the forum about a week ago, and I've been absorbing the huge wealth of knowledge that this forum represents. I feel very privileged to have found this place. I wish I would have found in 2005 when I first became interested in IM.
Back then I fell into Corey Rudl's funnel, started an info product, but lost interest in it when school became more challenging. I'm not in school anymore, and I'm ready to devote some time IM to really make it work.
The question:
I recently purchased a few of the WSOs, one of them being Daniel Molano's Newbie Blueprint on affiliate marketing through ezinearticle submissions. The articles have taken about 7 days to be approved, and today my tenth article was put online and I was upgraded to platinum status (woot).
One of my articles was ranked number 3 on the first page of google for the un-optimized keywords on the second day of it being live. Today (3rd day) I noticed about two hours ago that 2 other websites have put up my article on their websites/blogs (with my resource box). One of those websites was also on the first page of google, about 2 entries bellow my ezinearticle. But, right now when I went to show my girlfriend, I see that the guy that used my article is now ranked on the first page (#5 slot) and my ezinearticles listing is NOWHERE to be found, I checked the first 12 pages of google so it has to be buried beyond that.
So, my questions are:
A) Is that bad?
B) Why did this happen?
Thank you for your responses. I really appreciate anything you can tell me about this. I just want to know if this is something I should be worried about, or not.
