Blog Buyers - What is your WISH LIST?

If you are a blog buyer, I need your advice.

If you look in the Complete Websites for Sale section you will see all kinds of great niche blogs from some awesome developers for sale. I've got some experience in building these niche sites, but for the most part they seem to follow a pretty similar pattern as far as content:

- WordPress with typical plugins for SEO, etc.
- Theme seems to be either Gazette (premium) or Rev Church/Lifestyle
- 10 or so articles as content - sometimes PLR, sometimes unique
- a PLR ebook or report that you can offer for free (list builder) or sell for 100% profit
- pages (possibly) for videos, ebay, amazon, etc.

Also, many of the packages offer additional bonuses like more PLR articles, maybe keywords, maybe even some sort of marketing services. And usually these blogs are personal rights only (I've seen offers for blogs with PLR rights, but the quality is sub-par - you get what you pay for).

Honestly, the reputable members doing these offer an outstanding value! I think I've bought blogs from just about all of them.

But I want to go one step further. This could be:

- some type of unique content that most blogs don't have
- some special plugin (i.e. WP Robot, but that is expensive and you have to resell the blogs for $140 or more - just an example)
- additional services, like more SEO services included
- 100% unique articles for each buyer
- etc.

What is it that would take a "typical" blog (not that typical is bad - the typical I've seen are very, very professional and great values) and make it spectacular? What are you REALLY looking for? What is your wish list?

Well, a lot of buyers of these blogs are buying because they are so cheap and already to go for them. If you add high priced plugins and other high priced items, you won't be able to sell them so cheap and that will hurt your sales, most likely. Anyone who buys these for $27-$37 can easily buy the commercial plugin of their choice to add to it.

I have gotten some people who ask me why don't I add this and add that and I reply that it will increase the cost a great deal to add everything that you want. I can't justify going to that expense and still sell for $27. I already spend a good amount on quality content, a plugin, graphics, etc.

Your blogs are for personal use only. What do/would you charge for them with PLR rights?

I sold these to one person only on Flippa @ $320 each and never had any problems selling them for that. Then they could do whatever they wanted to them, although they are advised that the autoblogged plugin and the Woo theme is a single license only to the buyer.

To advertise any rights other than personal would be against Woo and Autoblogged TOS. The buyers get a single license only. Some buyers don't care, but I do.

In addition, they would soon be all over the Internet and being offered for sale everywhere .... wouldn't be very good for my business and it wouldn't be very good for customers who buy them. Right now there are no more than 35 sold of any of mine. Increase the buyers and have everyone lowballing and there would be hundreds of them.

Your blogs are gorgeous - one of the ones I was referring to. Just didn't know if there was a market for higher end blogs, but you're right - the buyer can spice them up however they need to. In the end, I think people want cheap but decent quality. I see some cheap, but they are crap. You provide true value for the price!

Thanks. That's the key ... provide great value but also a great price without going broke yourself.

people buy your sites cuz they are cheap and they get some protential, and both of the sellers and buyers can make easy money from the sites. but if you sell the sites at high price, you will break the rule.
