Question for ADMIN: Warrior Forum Searching Is Disabled?

OK, the first urge I had when I realized this was to do a search for any threads explaining why, but...ummm.....

Is this just a temp thing? I certainly hope not, I use it all the time! Not just on this forum, but on a lot of them, so it's kind of like quitting smoking for me. LOL

Wow, didn't notice that, have to use the old site:warriorforum.com search in Google.

Duh - not sure why I didn't think of that. LOL

      Thanks, brother!

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

Allen Im pretty sure it was said earlier that the search feature is coming back. Its only because of the recent downtime the forum experienced.

I would "Thank You" the WF way, but I can't
Heh. One of the first threads I read this morning was the one I linked to above, where Allen said the search and thanks are disabled. That hasn't stopped me from going to click the non-existent thanks button multiple times this morning. I'm a slow learner, I guess.

      Cheers,
      Becky

Searching puts a tremendous load on a server. IF there are issues with resource consumption then its one of the first things you disable.

Let s put it this way. You could have the forum up without searches or the forum back down with it left on. So we'll just have to live with it.
